    EASY there tiger......

18 points in a preseason game does not make him all NBA material. We may keep him, but to date, he's done nothing in the league. Jones is a vet. and has had good stints with s couple of teams.

It amazes me how fickle we are after an unknown guy comes out of the wood work and has one stellar preseason game....all of the sudden he is on the roster.

I guess he must now warrant the "Cato Rule" and we have to sign him for a long term, high dollar deal due to his fantastic preseason play.

    :D

i think torres looked better. i think that we really got no use for damon jones since we got mooche cat morris and francis. damon is too short to play small guard and we're stacked at point with mooche and stevie and hell cat can play there too. at the two we could have mooche walt(unless he's traded) and u know what i saw torres defend better than damon. if we need a third string as in just a body to throw out there to defend and bang torres is bulked enough to slap kobe or another guard silly(it wouldn't be too nice but heck who cares as long as the job gets done).

Torres is the clear choice. We already have two point guards in Francis and Mooch. There is currently nobody to back up Mobley at the two guard. I think that Torres can be that back up. He may have not done well in his first couple games, but I believe that it was because he needed to adjust or the nervousness of playing in the NBA. But I can see him contributing now that he's had some time to adjust.

Jones is an ok player, but we don't have a spot for him unless one of our 1 guards is injured.

If I had to make a choice now, I'd give Torres the slight edge.

Torres, I'm pretty sure. I'll know for sure after tonites Portland game. Both guys have had the same amount of games, so tonite should determine who is more comfortable in Rudy's system.;)
