Everyone are waiting for the arrival of Marc Jackson the newest member of the Houston Rockets. Not even a single rumors or offer on any team that might be interested for the service of the 6'10 F/C. The only site that I know who's strongly, I guess, believe that he will land here in Houston is ESPN, check it out. If anyone knows something or might have a rumors to share let us know.

People keep insinuating that Jackson doesn't have good work habits. Does it strike anyone else as unlikely that the kid could have played for John Chaney and have bad work habits?

I'm getting pretty nervous about the whole Jackson situation. It's been way too quiet lately. If we don't get Jackson, do you think we might try to get Mason instead? Is that a possible reason why Mason hasn't signed with the Bucks yet? Perhaps he thinks the Rockets will give him a contract similar to what we offered to Jackson, if we can't get him.

The Rockets would not give Mason the same kind of deal. No way. I think that we are going to get Jackson, it's quiet because there is nothing to report, he's coming here.
IF we Were to offer Mase a deal, it would be for one year, and he would turn it down. He's going to the Bucks.

Eastern Conf. Finals: Cassell's Bucks lose to Hakeem's Raptors.

I was under the impression that we will know today about M Jax...can anyone confirm that? Also, regarding Mase...some reports have him going to the Kings in a sign and trade for a point guard (Bobby Jackson) especially now that C Web is out 4-6 weeks

Me thinks the Warriors just are holding out to make certain one of their big men doesn't get hurt (like Mo or Webber) before they renounce the rights...

If teams aren't going after Mason, why would they take on huge contracts like Foyle or Dampier? They're like Cato, basically untradable due, in part, to the luxury tax

Well we'll find out tomorrow. As we've read before the Chronicle reports they have until Tuesday, the 16th. Hopefully they'll announce something tonight and not wait to the absolute last second.

It's either the 16th or 17th. I know the Chron said the 16th, but they also reported that GS got the offersheet on Tuesday the 2nd. 15 days from then is the 17th. Not sure which to believe.

According to the CBA, the 15-day clock begins on the day the team receives the "official" offer sheet, because they can technically match that day. GS acknowledged "official" receipt on Tuesday, October 2nd (which blows me away that the sheet was not on someone's desk at GS on Monday, October 1). Counting forward 15 days, from and including October 2nd, brings us to the 15th day, October 16. Sometime tomorrow is their last chance to match by this count. I would suspect GS has until about the time they received the offer sheet on the 2nd or thereabouts (12:00 pm?)

I really doubt that Golden State will match the Rockets offer. After all, they are just probably playing a lil game, by keeping him out from playing with the Rockets forcing them to learn how to jell with each other a bit later. Do you really think that Jackson will want to go back and play all out for Golden State if they match the offer on the last day? He will just be downright pissed and not give it his all. And when we play Golden State, I think he will make them pay for making him wait 15 days to become a Rocket!
