When will the MVP (and other awards) be announced?

    Couldn't find an exact date on nba.com. Thanks in advance if anyone can let me know.

    There is no exact date... is there? Usually, it is during the Conference Finals. I recall the "Oh, he's just borrowing my trophy" quote from Olajuwon... and that our own Robinson (the first name escapes my mind) said: "They shouldn't have given that trophy out that night... oooohhh, man... they shouldn't have... that p*ssed Dream off..." :)

    the mvp is the last award or one of the last given out iirc, awards are slowly given out week to week during the playoffs...

    Correct. They announce the various awards as well as All-Rookie, All-Defense, and All-NBA over the course of the next month. You'll hear about one every four days or so.

    usually the MVP is announced at the start of the second round.

    all other awards are announced during the first round.

    they gave it out May 7 last year, so maybe around then, although it does seem to vary year to year.

    I don't care about the dates.

    I just hope Dirk Diggler doesn't get any awards.

    MVP is usually given out around the 3rd round or if the first 2 rounds go deep then late 2nd round.

    Remember David Robinson was given MVP just before Houston took a couple games in San Antonio in 95.....

    Yeah, that was cool. I remember the Chronicle saying when the award was given how Dream showed Mr. Robinson who the real MVP was.
