I'd go with Bill and Clyde simply because they will match your excitement when a big play happens for the Rockets. It always pumps you up even more when the broadcasters get excited with you.

Who is calling the game on the ESPN broadcast any way? Jon Berry is one of them I'm guessing.

ESPN will look much better, even if you don't have HD. If you have HD, it'll look even better.

national announcers can get pretty excited too. kevin harlan's call of tmac's dunk on bradley was perfect. just depends on your preference. there will be some lame stuff said on either broadcast; the local team will clearly be more biased but have more stuff to say about the rockets, the national team in theory will be more even but won't know as much about the rockets. i personally love bill worrell but i appreciate even-handed calling. it makes it more meaningful when the announcers get excited about a rockets play than if bill is getting excited over every bucket.

If I watch ESPN, this is why. I usually switch back and forth though.

I suggest you record ESPN one. Simply because R2K will upload the FSN version any way. This way you can have both versions.

i shouldve made this a poll....

    im torn between both

bill and clyde will get real excited when something tight happens (well, at least bill will)...they'll have that rockets bias analysis...

ESPN will look better (HD)...stupid analysts, but i'm one of those guys who always wants to see what the national "experts" say about the rockets

do you really want to hear things like this when you watch the blowout in 10 years?

I have always said Rafer is the best point guard in the NBA...
Juwan Howard is such a nice human...
Rafer shoots the ball (when it is Luther Head)...

There is little to no analysis on FSN. The only analysis this season was give by Bullard, at best. And this was only when he broke down the plays JVG ran.

record ESPN. and plus from what the above have said, FSN will be recorded by R2K anyways...

If you have a DVR, chances are that you have the ability to record both.

There is a possiblity that ESPN might not show the beginning of the game if there was an overtime in the previous game however.

isn't one of the channels blacked out in Houston? Usually don't see 2 of the same games on at the same time.

The blackout happened only on NBATV and INHD not on ESPN or TNT.

Actually, I'm a capper, and I find that FSN has better picture quality than ESPN (non-HD). I'll be watching ESPN HD, but when I cap plays, I'll probably cap ESPN and FSN. I also like to watch ESPN because I watch FSN and listen to Bill & Clyde/Bullard all year.
