I don't see why everyone is trying to trade Walt, when he is 20x better than Dan Langhi. It's weird to me that no one has said anything about Dan, but I will. He's a scrub. He's a tall, matt maloney and yet you guys are excited to have him back?? He didn't play last year because obviously he wasn't that good, Rudy would play people that give him results. I guess I'd have to be the first to say, we should have cut Langhi, or make him useful and try to get a draft pick. "Oh the rockets didn't have Rice, Mobley, Griffin, Collier, or Langhi" Like Langhi would have made a difference.

I agree Langhi sucked more than anyone on the rockets last year. I dont see Langhi playing more than 10 minutes this year. Rockets will see if he can show what he is capable of doing. If he gets to learn how to play in the games, he could be a help on points like Bullard was to Houston.

He might surprise everyone. Who knows he might avg 5 apg. Thats AirBalls per game. ;)

He's a 3pt threat....much like Maloney except he can play the 3 and maybe the 4 ala Bullard. Last year the rocks had Bull. This year they don't.

He can strech the defense for Francis and Mobley.

But as far as being a huge Langhi fan, I'm not. He was just a rook last year and will get a chance to win PT.

I don't think he'll get more than 5 mpg, but he is valuble when Rice and Griffin are out.

Terrance Morris can shoot the 3, Wiz can hit the three, Rice too, so can Damon. They can also handle the rock unlike DAMN LANKY.

    sorry but ................goodbye Dan mmmmkay.

Damon JOnes cannot play the 3 or 4 like Langhi can though.

And I have yet to see Morris display a 3 point stroke (including summer leagues).

Morris wont go out and shoot the 3s, hes more of a garbage man. Get blocks and rebounds inside. Put backs.

Langhis is a shooter in practice and summer league. Lets see if he can for once bring it in the real games.

I think Langhi will surprise. I see TMo starting out the year on IR unless there are other real injuries.

A 7-ft tall exceptional athlete with a good shot - we lose nothing by keeping him, and the potential gain is tremendous, in my opinion.

They said the 3rd year where most plyers really gets better. I think Langhi deserved to get a chance this year to show some talent, but if he fold, He is out of here!!!!!

This is Langhi's SECOND year, so let's give the guy a chance. If he's good enough, he will be able to contribute. The guy is a pure shooter, and has great hops.....he may surprise a lot of people.

I always liked Langhi (even before his summer games), but I don't think that he is going to prosper at all with the Rockets who have more than enough SFs. If he goes elsewhere (via trade) he will get some time to grow and in my opinion have a chance to get some more minutes than he would here definately.

I think Langhi will be OK for the Rockets. He's tall and pretty atheletic so I don't see the problem. Sometimes 3's have the biggest adjustment because of the players playing that spot. He or Morris will battle it out for that position in a couple of yrs. looking at the west, we're going to need some height and atheletic ability to man that spot. It seem like all the 3's in our conference except Marion are 6'9 or taller. So having a big guy that can move and shoot is a asset.

I think Langhi is going to need a small miracle to make this team. Morris is showing he is much more of an all around player. When have you seen Dan with 18 pts and 4 blocks in a preseason game? (Don't include the summer league) Morris still needs to prove himself, but Dan needs a strong performance soon, or he is in big danger of being cut. The other guys fighting for a roster spot are making it tough for us to really have room for Langhi. I actually like Dan, but he just really seems to disappoint when it matters. To Dan's credit, he is just coming off his first ankle sprain, so maybe Monday he'll give us some quality minutes and make it really tough for Rudy to decide makes the cuts. Torres and Morris looked to damn good tonight to cut either of them, at this time.

Langhi cannot get cut as he is signed to a contract. If anything, he will get placed on the IR, but I doubt that will happen.

If I recall correctly, Maloney had a six year contract when he was cut. If we cut Langhi, we still have to pay him, but it frees up a roster spot. I'm not sure about this, but doesn't Mo Taylor take up 1 of 3 spots on the IR? Rudy has some tough choices ahead, and unfortunately we will have to let a player with some good potential go. Anyone think someone would give us a future second rounder for Dan? That would be a great way to ease the jam at small forward. We basically used a first round pick to get TMo, so I can't see us cutting him, and we need either Jones or Torres to back up shooting guard, maybe even both.

I agree Morris is a better all round player then Langhi. Especially impressed tonight in the Detroit game. Langhi last year was a rookie, this summer I watched him play in the RM Revue and saw more development in his game. Hopefully there will be a spot for him. If the Rockets get Marc Jackson, the talent pool is so deep---it's going to be hard decision who is let go.

Actually, Langhi is not much of a 3 point shooter. He didn't make one three pointer last season. In the Rocky Mountain he was 100%, but he only took 1 shot behind the arc. He's best just inside the college three point line.

Let me rephrase since I didn't realize he hasn't moved his shot out to the 3pt line, yet.

His value is as a big man that can shot. I've only seen him a couple of times, but from the looks of him, he'll be a three point specialist in no time. Not that he doesn't do other things well, just not well enough.

Trust me, he'll shot more threes when he isn't the #1 or #2 scoring option (Rocky Mountain) and isn't playing garbage time (last year) if he plays at all.

If it was me, he only plays when Rice is hurt.

Okay, maybe I was a little harsh saying he needs a miracle to make the team. He will probably get a spot on the IR for most of the season instead of being cut. I just think we have so much talent and Dan doesn't quite fit in at this time. I hope he proves me wrong this week. Maybe Rudy will give him 20 minutes in a game so he can get in the rythm of the game. Perhaps he is just one of those players that really needs the minutes to prove their value, unfortunately minutes are hard to come by with this roster if your name isn't Steve or Cuttino.

my opinion is that we keep him if he takes a bullard salary. cheap and minimum. if he groes an ego and wants more then we get rid of him. if he's really that cheap he may turn out to be an asset for later. u know the stuff u buy cheap at a flea market in which u really don't know why u bought it but it cost only a dime so it won't kill. u then just throw it in your closet just in case u might find it handy or later u might actually find out it is worth something.
