Yes I would like revenge on the Mavs. That said if they get knocked off by GS I wouldn't mind that either.

i get a funny feeling that the mavs may get pushed really hard by GS...i actually have a vibe that they may choke and lose. I doubt it, but it sure would be sweet.

what makes you think that if GS advances to the 2nd round that it'll be an easy series for the Rockets?

Beating a first seed means you've got a team that contends. if you haven't noticed, we don't necessarily match well with GS either. i hope GS kicks the **** out of the Mavericks. it doesn't matter who takes them out. we still have to go through SA and PHO.

    Rockets Fans,

Just visualize how the NBA and all its fans would respect us if we beat every playoff opponent with the same tenacity and energy type game we played against the Suns. I not talking about the grind out games that is our MO, but the "...I'll be your huckleberry...."(Tombstone) attitude that was displayed against the Suns.

That Suns game was one of the BEST games I have EVER watched. Nash, Bell and AS were just frothing at the mouth to get back into the game as the 7-8 minute mark, when they were only down by 7 points. At that moment, the Suns DID NOT CARE that a loss would not effect their standings and their competitive juices were out the roof -- BUT they STILL lost. That game is what basketball is all about. Pure passion and determination of WILL.

    Go Rockets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

exactly, folks here seem to think the Rockets advancing to the 2nd round is a forgone conclusion. if you can't beat the Jazz why bother worrying who you'll play next.

    Go Warriors!!!

The Clippers are a disappointment. The Warriors are a team on the move!! Let us cheer on this inspirational team as they strive to make the playoffs for the first time since 1994.

I want the Spurs because my roommate is a Spurs fan. Sometimes I wish that 4/5 rule wasn't implemented yet so we could see them right now. If we don't get the Mavs, so be it. I'll still be rooting for GS, but that has more to do with me not liking Mavs rather than running away from them. But if Mavs win, please bring it. Payback is a mutha......

the spurs had a 6 game series before they played us in the wcf.
the knicks had a 7 game series with the pacers before they played us in the finals.

Yeah, reminds me of that 86' Laker team who were suppose to go to the finals and walk all over us.

I guess history tends to repeat itself.

Right now, I don't care about the Mavs or what they do. All that matters is Jerry Sloan's bunch. They aren't going to be push-overs as everyone thinks.

Living in d/FW, I can say without a doubt that I'd rather see Nellie EMBARASS the mavs than see the Rockets get all CGNU on them. The master comes back and puts the pupil in his place? Or how about this angle:
THE MAVERICKS ARE PAYING MONEY TO DON NELSON.

I'd like to see them PAY to lose.

I'd love to meet the Mavs...

But, as for a yes or no question, who would you rather face in the playoffs type kind of thing, I would definetly choose GSW over Dallas, for the same reason that I breathed a sigh of relief when Houston beat the Suns and for the same reason why I look forward to HCA. This Rockets team doesn't need drama. This Rockets teams needs wins, BS easy way or not.

I might be a pus*y, but I'm a proud one. Maybe when we win a ring or two, then I can consider "revenging" the Mavs a better series then sweeping GSW in 4.

And, before I can be misinterpreted, I mean a ring or two with Mac and Yao.

Forget revenge. Mavs losing in the 1st round would be so embarrassing (I'm a UT student in Austin, so I have to deal with many Mavs/Spurs fans)!

At the same time though, we probably match up with Dallas better than we match up with Golden State. Then again, the only time we played GS after their trade was when T-Mac only played 6 minutes.

I really don't care who the Rockets play but I'd love to meet the Mavs in the playoffs again and this time beat them. Then T-Mac can finally get the "last laugh"...

Absolutely no way I want to see Dallas lose. I can't wait to see that battle between the Rockets and hated Mavs. Revenge for 2005. It will be very even and will go 7 games and will be punch, counter-punch.

And seeing as how our scrubs have handled the j*zz starters, I think we are going to see the epic Texas battle.
