One of my clients is Carnival Cruise Lines. Several people in my company have gotten the free cruise to do "work on-site" for them. Not me though. Finally, I got the call to their Genoa, Italy office. For next week, the frigging playoffs. It is so sad! Normally I'd delay my return for a week or so, and do a vacation out of it. sigh. I probably still will. questions: Anyone know what the chances are finding the 1st round playoff games on in Italy? What do I need for slingblade, or equivalent technology options? What would you do in Genoa or within easy train ride away?
What do you do for a living? From Genoa by train.....Milan is easily do-able, as is Monaco (if you wanted to venture into France)
heyp, just download TVU or some other PP program. I'm positive every single Rockets game will be available online somehow from our Asian brothers.
I'm hoping to watch english-speaking broadcasts, but 1st round?? maybe delayed. Anyone know for sure? 2nd option is over the internet; hopefully my hotel connection will be good. I can't figure out if NBA broadband is doing the playoffs. Is TVU going to be chinese broadcasts? Is there any "channel" info I need to know like for IRC chat? thx for the help
www.streamtvnow.com You have to pay about 5 euros a month but it should be on there and it'll be in english.
I hate it when I win free cruises to Italy. One time, I won $100 on a scratch off...damn, that sucked!
Haven't been, but the Five Villages of the Cinque Terre are supposed to be amazing. You basically hike (no cars there) through five small villages on the sea. It's pretty close to Genoa, as I recall.
I got this via e-mail today...I haven't tried it but it's supposed to allow you to watch TV on your computer from anywhere. If anybody knows about it, please expound: https://www.joost.com/download/ Edit: Oh, it's like an online XM Radio thing, they have their set of channels...probably not gonna get the Rockets on it.
the nba games haven't been up lately...or is that just me? there had to be some kind of infringement with dewsaw...that site was a godsend for about 2 weeks...perfect, crystal clear stream, probably the LP broadband.
Go to Italy and enjoy the trip. I'm sure it will be amazing. Don't even worry about missing the playoffs. All you'll likely be missing is a first round disappointment due to JVG being outcoached yet again.
HeyPee, I'm finding it really hard to feel sorry for you! Besides, I bet you end up watching the games, anyway. I watched Ali and Frazier's first fight, the one at Madison Square Garden, in the living room of a little pensione in Venice at 4am. March, 1971. Talk about a trip! I had to pound on the door for about 10 minutes before they'd let us in (me and the chick I was traveling with at the time). Didn't speak a word of English except Ali and Frazier, lol. Motioned that they'd give us a room after the fight. Turned out to be a cool place. You looked out the window into an alley that could have been straight out of the 1500's. Memories. Good luck!
With friends like you, who needs enemies? Off with your head. F*cker. How can you call yourself a ClutchFan being that PESSIMIST? You're the devil. (and please don't show up to buy my soul tonight... I gotta watch me some Rocky III on Telefutura
I have a Hava which is like Sling box only better, I will be DVRing all the games, and if HP would email me I just might give him access. DD
I can only have one guy hooked up at a time.....but since it is DVR, conceivably you guys could watch them at different times. DD
