i think they will do their best in the first half, making a lead and rest in the second

This last regular season game becomes meaningless, W or L would not affect any team in the conference. It's not like Dallas's loss to Utah last week which would affect the other team's (i.e. Rockets and Jazz) home court advantage. For Christ sake, it is not even played in Toyota Center hence Houston's ticketholders won't be dissapointed too.

I really cannot figure out a single and rational reason to play our 8-man playoff roster, not to mention TMac and Yao. I'd say activate Bobby Sura and Bonzi and play this 7-man roster:

    Starters:
    JLIII
    VSpan
    Jake
    Snyder
    Novak

    Reserves:
    Bonzi
    Sura

If possible, set up a couple plays for Bonzi to take out Boozer and Okur.

How about a third option: Play them minimal minutes, just enough so they don't get rusty before the weekend.

BTW, I'd like to see Head get some minutes at the PG as well, cuz he needs all the practice he can get.

Lucas can play backup. Sorry Vassilis, but your time will come next year. :)

John Lucas needs some rest too before the playoffs.
Suit up Charlie Ward and have him play PG :D

From the JVG post game interviews I got a sense he was going to play them, he did not say it, but you can feel the starters will be the usual 5 and play reduced minutes. Which I think is terrible... Here is how I would start:

    Head
    Lucas
    TSak
    Snyder
    Howard

with VSpan, Snyder and Deke as subs. Do not play the starting 5.

JVG thinks being tired on back to back games is a mental thing... so I can guess what he will do last game of the season...

come on JVG... give the guys a break... they played a tough team a tough game and won...reward them with a little rest...

they cant stop Tmac... they cant stop Yao.... they dont have a Iron clad offensive set against our D...

do we need to give them a chance to try somthing new things out... in a mean nothing game???

if JVG plans to play his typical Rox game...

    im going to scream....

if thats the case... have Yao jack up 3's

    and have Tmac post up...

    Batt shooting 15 footers...

    Juwan shooting 3's

    Deke... as PG

    etc etc etc

    NO

But Van Gundy could play them alot, way more than I would, he likes to play hard and keep the chemistry and edge up.

And i have a feeling that if any player gets big minutes and big numbers people are gonna call for him to start, lol, but the problem is, it's hard to get big minutes, and even if they do, it's hard to get big numbers. Opportunity is only for the guys who r ready, and i wish ur V span and everyone in our team Good LucK!

Again I will say it HCA for the Finals could be on the line! You got to go don't press Mac to hard, but HCA in the finals is just as big or bigger than the first round.

detroit will be playing boston tomorrow night, the game will be just about over as soon as the rox start. so, i think there should be some scoreboard watching.

also, maybe someone has brought this up, but, in case of a tie with detroit, who wins?

Well, according to Zhang Yi, the Sohu Sports reporter, reported from Houston, the Rockets have travelled with the team and had arrived Utah. (Not sure whether Big Yao and TMAC have travelled with the team)

    http://sports.sohu.com/20070418/n249512712.shtml

But according to Zhang Yi, they do not want rest. They want to and volunteer to play.......

These are quotes from the 2, right after the win over Phoenix Suns:-

Yao Ming: "If the coach decides and wants me to play in the next game (against Utah Jazz), I would still be running and playing tirelessly like what I did tonight."

Tracy McGrady: "I would strive to play (the last game). We want to continue winning into the playoff."
