my g/f just got in an accident. she says it's minor damage. she's say's it's the other party's fault. He disagrees. They waited for a cop to show up but apparently, he was taking too long. So they both decided to leave the scene. Now she's on her way home, distraught.

They both carry Farmers insurance but she doesn't really want them involved as she feels the damage would not exceed the deductable AND that she feels it wasn't her fault. What to do next?

really nothing much she can do...

it's her word against his unless you get a third party involved (like a cop or an insurance agent). I would get the insurance agent involved, have the insurance company make a call on fault and then if it is less than the deductible, don't claim it.

    absolutely

insurance agents are no help in these situations ...they can report your claim, but have ZERO input on liability decisions

since you are both with Farmer's, call in the claim and let the adjuster get recorded statements and photos/damage assesments of both cars ......most times, they can base a liability decision on that w/o a police report
