How much longer before he will officially become a ROCKET? Do you think he will end up being the starting Power Forward since Thomas doesnt seem like he can bang with the other power forwards. Man talk about a guy who has become more LEAN!
I sure hope GS doesn't match the Rocks offer. If they do match it though I think KT can be a good starting power forward. Not as good as Jackson, but pretty good. What will happen when Mo comes back if we get Jackson. Jackson, Thomas, Griffin, and Taylor. That would cause some problems. We can't have 4 first string quality PFs.
If the Rocket's get Marc I will be very happy but he is Golden State's asset to lose. I think it's a good sign that GS hasn't done anything yet. GS letting him go without some sort compensation is stupid: either keeping him and trade someone else or pay a luxury tax is their only options. It reminds me of Mo last year---It came down to the last minute where he was going to end up. Seattle wanted to trade Vin Baker, then sign Mo but no one wanted Baker. Houston was under the cap and Mo wanted to play in Houston after talking to Francis and Mobley. The similiarity are a little different except the lack of options are the same. GS might get a player they don't want and trade a player they wanted to keep just so Houston does get Marc for free. If GS truly means what they say, we get Marc----no strings attached. I hope that happen because I thing he would fit perfectly in the Rocket system.....
Houstone, Mobley is going to be out another week and a half. He said this in his interview with Lisa Malosky. I'm willing to bet that Rice sits out another two weeks.
The problem with the Warriors is that 1.) Nobody is going to take one of the Warriors big men for the same reason the Warriors are trying to dump them, long-term contracts and the luxury tax. 2) If Golden State is going to trade one of their big men, no matter what they're going to take an equal or close to equal contract. Nobody has the cap space to eat Foyle's or Dampier's contract, or those with cap space don't have the need. So in essence, letting Marc Jackson go would be the equivalent of dumping a contract since they would have to take Jackson's contract. And if they can't trade Foyle or Dampier, what makes them think they can trade Jackson 3 months from now, especially when he might not get significant playing time?
Good point. I thought right from the beginning they just wanted to hold Jax till the deadline was up incase we did some thing stupid or maybe to hold up our teams chemistry. This is going to be a great year Rockets fans!
I think they are waiting as long as possible in case one of their big men gets hurt before Oct. 16th or doesn't look good in practice/exhibition
The answer to that is yes!! Just heard from a friend whose girlfriend sister works for the Warrior team, don't know what the hell she does but mention that Warriors have'nt had that much time to sign and trade Jackson and definitely, he quote;" will let Marc walked out of the team." Can't say this is a legit or not. But this guy does'nt say much of untrue statement and one of the Warrior fan. I guess we will see if his source is right!! Man there will be a lot of Hail Mary before I go to bed, Tonight!!!!
