I hate Dallas too, but I don't understand why he gave them a C+ when they have the best record in the league by far?

Anyways, good work Rockets with the A!

You know that just killed him to write, but he'd look like a biased idiot if hadn't have done so. So sweet.

Reading a Rosen article lowers you're IQ 2 points everytime you do it. He's just a huckster.

Look at his Lakers write up. So obviously biased for Phil. basically said that the team was too immature to take advantage of Phil's great coaching. Maybe, it's the fact that Phil's contribution is incredibly overrated and won championships with the two of the most incredible duos in the history of the league: Jordan / Pippen and Kobe / Shaq. What has he done since he lost his AAA rated talent? Other than playing the Suns tightly in last year's playoffs, not much.

omg on a weekend article... that just makes it even more impressive that he wrote good stuff about us outside of his work time. I'm thinking that the deadline was like today or this friday or something and he just got one of his assistants to write it.

He's just grading how much teams lived up and/or surpassed expectations. The Mavs were expected to dominate this season, and anything short of a championship will be unacceptable is what he is trying to say.

meh, i liked it when he hated on us and we continued to prove him wrong. I don't like this positive attention from jerks like him and the espn gang.

Of course he had to note that JVG's finals appearance came in the strike season to give ou t the old backhanded compliment. what a joke.

That makes no sense, mavs should get an A. I know he says cause the playoffs havnt started, but if the rocket dont make it out of the first round, I'd drop their grade significantly.

Then the Jazz should have the highest grade. No one was expecting them to be this good and this healthy. Everyone knew the Rockets would be good this year and they knew our bad record last year was due to having the most injuries out of all the other teams in the league. The way Avery Johnson has kept the Mavericks focused for so long and keeping them playing at this level of play and intensity is just outstanding especially after their 0-4 start. Everyone was expecting 60 wins from the Mavericks but not close to 70 wins. The Mavericks should be an A, Rockets A-, Jazz A+(althought after their recent meltdown im not sure about giving them this high of a grade, even though their improvement has been vast.)

Whenever I read a Rosen article, I get the feeling that the man hates everything. He doesn't have anything positive to say about anything. Even when he tries to praise someone, he makes it sound rather cynical.

Hell has definitely frozen over. They gave the Dallas a C+, Portland an A-, and Utah an A-.

lol what a dumbass... how can he give the mavs a C.. obviously they are expected to do well, but you dont give them a C if they meet extremely high expectations, should be an A.

the A given to the rockets doesn't mean much if portland gets an A. how does portland get an A, they aren't even in the playoffs.

Rosen has some reasoning.. but it doesn't make any sense. it seems like he is just trying to put a unique, albeit stupid, spin on power rankings and end of the year gradings, just so he can feel like hes better than all the other sports writers out there.

Quotes for the Utah Jazz from Rosen:

Andrei Kirilenko bought a house in Salt Lake City, but his game was deported. Carlos Boozer proved he could play effectively while hurting opponents and not himself.

I thought those two lines were quite funny....

As much as I like the Rocket praise, he was giving credit in all the wrong places...

JVG and Battier have been great, but if not for McGrady's leadership, this team is in the gutter right now.
