I've been with t-mobile for almost 2 years but looking at the cheap rate plans for the new Cricket service. I'm real tempted to switch over but I've heard some customers have problems with dropped calls or someone may call them and it doesn't go through. Verizon has some bad a** phones but I have no idea what their text message add-on packages cost. Anyone else having problems with their cell phone service?
well i just recently switched from sprint in which i was with them for 4 years to t-mobile and i'm surprised about how many dropped calls i get with t mobile at least one a day drop calls from tmobile and with sprint i had roughly less than 10 if that in those 4 years..
I went with a band up to Ft. Worth last night and everybody's cell phone seemed to be fine . . . except for the guy who had CricKet. FWIW, I've had Cingular for 4+ years and have never had any problems.
Several years ago, I switched from Sprint PCS to T-Mobile because Sprint had too many dropped calls. It was ridiculous back then but I'm sure they have improved.
well its been over a month so far but if this trend continues i might jump ship and go with verizon or wait for the iphone or the zunephone, one of the rumors that is circulating is that att/cingular will payoff the cancellation fee ($200) of other service providers for you to enjoy the $600 iphone with their service.
I have both, Cricket and Tmobile, they both work fine. The whole "bad reception" claims with Cricket has more to do with the phone you use than with the service itself. There has actually been places where I get signal with Cricket but not with Tmobile. You don't really have much to lose with Cricket, theres no activation fees or contracts. Try it for a month, I recommend it. btw, I bought the cheapest phone for Cricket and it worked well, it was 79.99 but now its 109.99 I think. I ordered mine from www.mycricket.com I used a Sidekick3 with Tmobile.
isn't cricket only local to texas? and i've tried to call people with cricket and have their networks be down or my friends just don't get reception as soon as they step indoors. i've called someone with cricket while they were sitting next to me, and it went straight to their voicemail.
