Found a pretty fun strategy game last night. It's at: http://oilempires.itch.com It's basically a business strategy/empire building game centering around oil. Kind of like Civilization without as many bells and whistles. It's browser-based so there's nothing to download, so that's good. You can team up and form "cartels" and there's a combat engine that's a big part of the game. The game is turn-based on essentially half-hour intervals, so it doesn't seem that time-intensive (at least not so far). I could see someone being able to play the game effectively with a few minutes every hour. If people want, we could set up a Clutchfans Cartel. I'm in the SouthWest quadrant if anyone wants to team up. It's been pretty fun so far, and could be a blast with more people. Might be like the "Nation States" game that people go into for about 5 minutes a few years back, except this game actually has a purpose and tangible payoffs.
Looks interesting, I just signed up. I would be up for joining a cartel, though I won't be able to check in hourly most of the time...
Hmm...I'll give it a try, though I'm usually horrible at those kind of games, forget my user/password within a week or two.

Okay, I set up a Cartel under the name "ClutchFans". I guess you can post your ID and I'll send you an invite. I've already sent ones to Kimble and chad. As for time commitment, you can probably put it on auto-pilot for a couple hours at a time. I've stepped away here and there and it's not a big deal. At least early in the game when you're just building stuff. Though I suppose if you hit the end game and start fighting guys and all that it'll need more of your attention. Northside Moss, I tried sending an invite to you at NMloss, but it said "No player found". Let me know if I got the right ID. Edit: okay, Northside, that NMloss looks like it might be a typo.
