Cool thanks man. You can email it to me at: hhduong023@mail.utexas.edu or however you like. I posted a thread about my experience of it on the hangout. You should post your comment on there too.

Sweet, I was there also! My roommate texted me and he was like VY is playing in Gregory. I was like whatever, the Astros are about to play. Then he's like Durant is there also, so I pretty much had no choice but to go.

VY hit on my floormate! She asked him to sign some shorts she was holding and Vince was like "I'd like to see you in that" and then he touched her legs! Now of course she probably thinks she's hot stuff.

I didn't get there in time to see Durant play. He was sitting on the rafters (just like 2 yards away from where I was standing!) I know there were some Indians/Pakis near my area that kept asking Durant to sign crap and take pics with him. I wasn't even thinking that one of them could be the Yao stalkers. It's a shame that they go to UT. Anyway, KD was clearly getting annoyed, but I'm sure he's used to that by now. Do you by chance know Sean (Sanjoy)? He's in the BXO frat.

Anyway, KD, VY, Dexter Pittman, and Limas Sweed were there. Pittman is looking pretty good. I hope he'll be our starting center next year. Durant and Young in a gym at the same time? Damn... 2 UT legends in 2 different sports.

Those Yao stalkers can burn in hell.

Sorry that this is off-topic, but I'm curious to know if "Paki" is an acceptable form of address in the States. In the UK it's usually considered offensive. However, if the person using it is Pakistani too, I suppose it wouldn't be derogatory; like "*****" I guess. "Oriental" I've discovered is offensive to American Chinese, Koreans etc

Ummm... no. I'm Indian, and we (and I thought everyone) refer to Pakistanis as Pakis. It's strictly an abbreviation. I don't understand why anyone would take offense to abbreviations. You didn't seem to have a problem that there's a poster here named ultimatepaki.

OMG I was standing next to you. You actually asked me to go up to KD and ask him to sign your ipod skin. You wanted me to do this because KD was already getting agitated that you were asking him to sign all this stuff.

Man if I knew you were randomdude...

    Usage notes

The abbreviation Paki acquired offensive connotations in the 1960s when used by British tabloids to refer to subjects of former colony states in a derogatory and racist manner. In modern British usage "Paki" is typically used in a derogatory way as a label for all South Asians, including Indians and Bangladeshis. To a lesser extent, the term has been applied as a racial slur towards Arabs and other Middle Eastern-looking groups who may resemble South Asians. During the 60's many emigrants were also classed as "black" to further segregrate them from the white community. Some would say such a division still exists in parts of England
In recent times there has been a trend by second and third-generation British Pakistanis to reclaim the word. The word has been turned into a keepsake for the young British Pakistani community that is not acceptable for someone outside the community to say it, including Indians and Bangladeshis. It is a class A swear word comparable to "******" for people of African descent in this respect. Many agree with the consensus that it is now only for the Pakistani community to use.

The racist connotations are only known in the UK. In Australia, the Pakistani cricket team are commonly referred to as the Pakis, just as the West Indians are known as the Windies. The general thought amongst Pakistanis is that the ignorance has not yet been cleared up in these countries.

that being said i personally dont care if anyone on this board says that to me

...maybe... it's a possibility... just throwing it out there...

I will stop using "paki" to address Pakistanis then. Fundamentally, it's just funny to me that abbreviating the word makes it offensive.
