You know, and maybe I'm being too paranoid and/or pessimistic, but I'd almost rather not have home court in the playoffs than have that last regular season game mean something. Even if the Rockets would win that game, I just feel like too many factors could give the Jazz a better advantage going into the series. I'm usually a "glass-half-full" guy, but maybe the playoff stresses are getting to me early.
Dallas lost intentionally. They prefer to play Utah in the second round. They fear the Rockets. We will beat them anyways.
hopefully they lose against Phoenix tomorrow, with a Phoenix win and a San Antonio loss Phoenix can rest their starters the following game against us, which if we win against NO and PHo, then we clinch HCA the day before. Its still possible and resonable
Are you sure about that whole "neither do I" thing? 'Cuz you've been harping on V-Span getting time ALL YEAR, and now you're saying I don't know if V-Span sucks or not? Well guess what... JVG, unlike you, gets to see him play in every practice. JVG decided that V-Span playing does not help the team. As for the players like Josh Howard that did get to play, maybe they got a chance to play BECAUSE THEY'RE ACTUALLY GOOD. Phoenix is the key word. He got placed into a great system for him. Get open and wait for Nash to pass to you. Other than that, RUN RUN RUN. The guy is a SF that can play C in the Suns' system. Your comparison to Diaw is inaccurate.
I figured Dallas didn't put effort into that game, such that Jazz would get better chance in taking the HCA. Dallas will face either Rockets or Jazz in the second round IF ( ) they pass the first round. I guess they'd rather face the Jazz.
Phoenix can't put good teams away early because they blow leads too easily. Unless the Jazz come back and clobber them, expect this game to go undecided into the 4th quarter. The only thing is the Jazz have been playing so poorly that maybe they could actually be blown out at home today; but I doubt it.
Is someone watching this game? How in the world are the Suns up 22 at the half? Are the Jazz players allergic to playing defense?
I've been flipping back and forth between the 2 games. Alls I know is that the Suns jumped out to a 13-1 lead. This game has never been close.
The Rockets Magic Number is now down to 1 after the Rockets win and Jazz loss tonight. Now we all need to root for the Mavs to beat the Spurs tomorrow. If that happens, Steve Nash and Amare Stoudamire may not even dress for the Monday Rockets-Suns game.
