The weather outlook is good for Friday, but I think they are expecting lots of rain for Saturday and Sunday.

They should get Saturday's game in, but that night there's a huge Nor'Easter blowing in with snow & all types of badness.

They should just pre-schedule a traditional (noon, 4) doubleheader for Saturday.

Freddy Garcia is pitching off an injury Sunday. If he weren't, I'd be picking the Phils to win that game....but he is...soooo...

Doesn't look like it'll get cold enough for much snow until late Sunday night, but there's a 90% chance of rain Sat night through Sunday.

Doesn't look hopeful at all, go Saturday.

This would of course take some foward thinking on the part of MLB...the same organization that just realized Craig Biggio wears his Sunshine Kids pin in spring training even though he's been doing it for nearly 20 years.

    Stros sweep!

    W / W / W

Hope they don't get washed out on Sunday. This is why I think every new up and coming ballpark should have a retractable roof. It sucks to have to cancel games.

I heard someone talking about the same thing yesterday on the radio and how Minnesota is building a new stadium without a roof. How dumb is that. There are going to be some mighty cold games in April/May/October. Why would fans want to sit through that in Minnesota (especially when many people come from all over the state to go to games).

It's cheaper, but its going to cost them in the long run.

With all these postponed games, playing three games every 5 days, the Astros pitching will be really good for a while.

    No Jennings on Saturday.

Jennings will miss start to have elbow examined

    By JOSE DE JESUS ORTIZ

Jason Jennings, the Astros' big offseason trade acquisition, has been sent back to Houston and scratched from his scheduled start.

He will have his right elbow flexor tendon examined by team doctors Saturday Woody Williams, pitching on normal rest, will start in Jennings' place Saturday against the Philadelphia Phillies. Wandy Rodriguez will start Sunday's game. According to local forecasts, Sunday's game is in jeopardy of being rained out.

''We're not in a bad situation,'' Garner said. ''I just hope (Jennings is) okay.

The Astros will wait to announce who will start Monday's game against Florida. Rodriguez originally was scheduled to start that game.

The Astros traded starting center Willy Taveras and righthanders Jason Hirsh and Taylor Buchholz to the Colorado Rockies for Jennings, who can become a free agent after the season.

That's trouble. Wow. He looked pretty sharp his first two starts, too.

This could explain why Jennings was throwing around 85 mph when he normally is in the low 90's.

That's the same injury that Pettite eventually needed to have surgery on.
