(Poll) The Devil just came to me and offered a deal do you take it?

    It's simple as a yes or a no.

    Rockets roll Utah and Dallas and then in a seven game series either lose to the Suns or Spurs. As soon as it's done the thinking is to beat the Spurs we just need more help at the 1 and 4 (which we can get in the offseason) plus 1 more year together. To beat the Suns we just need more help at point and we need to develop Steven Novak into a three point assain to keep the D honest on Yao.

    Next either the Spurs or Suns sweep the Heat and the general thinking around the NBA is the Rockets are the second or third best team.

    Do you take this? Or do you roll the dice?

    Deal or No Deal? :D

    Vas or No Vas?

    I would say no and roll the dice because I think we have enough but it is almost good enough to take even though the title is the ultimate goal.

    i dont really understand what you are asking. So we take a garunteed game 7 loss in the conference finals vs. letting it roll with no garuntee?

    That being said, my expectations this season were for a playoff series win. If we can double that, including ending Dallas our most bitter rival's historic season and playoff run i'd be all for it.

    That being said if we could take PHoenix to 7 games i'd be even more thrilled. that would be spectacular.


    so yes i'd take it, Houston would be seen as needing 1 piece to climb the top and the free agents would flow like dollar bills coming out of pac-man jones hands when he is at a strip club in vegas.

    what kind of deal is that. making the conference finals isn't an achievement. players shouldn't be any more proud of that than making the playoffs. it's just one of the prerequisites for becoming a champion. if you're satisfied with that, then you should also be somewhat satisfied with making the playoffs at all. it's just marginally better. the only achievement worth anything is the championship.

    lol very true, i'd tell the Devil that JVG's house is around the corner cause as much as i love my rockets, my deal with the devil would not have Yao Ming or any basketball players in it

    Yes as long as we take the Dallas series to 7 and beat them by 50 in D Town in game 7.

    oh i'd take that. any deal that involves wiping the memory of our game 7 loss by replacing it with an even more embarrassing game 7 Dallas loss, ill take it. i might actually prefer this to a championship. (hey, we've already got 2 ships. but we'll NEVER live down the memory of that game 7 loss...)

    Satisfied- Rockets Beat Utah, advance to second round
    Very Happy- Rockets beat Dallas
    Extremely happy- winning conference finals and winning finals

    Really, with the state of our team and the level of competition, I expect us to move on to the second round, but I don't think we have a great chance at beating Dallas or Phoenix, not this year at least. I hope they do, and I know we are capable of doing it, but a lot of unreliable peices have to click if we have a shot at beating both of them.

    If it takes for me to sell my soul to beat Utah, thats just pathetic. And if we beat the Mavs, I'm sure we'll be in such a high that we'll go all the way..... :cool: No soul selling needed
