4 yo throwing up every time we try to get something in her, including twice on me.... but of course she was able to take a nap from 6-10 pm, so I took the midnight to 4:00 shift. We're watching a Dora movie while she eats crushed ice and brags that because she is sick she gets to stay up late and her big sister doesn't.

The things you do for your kids.

I remember a time when my daughter was about a year old, and she had a bad cold. She was highly congested and had difficulty breathing. I laid on the floor beside her crib all night just so I could hear her breathing.

    Hope she feels better rimrocker.

Also, I hope it's just the coffee RM95, I got hit hard with a stomach virus about 5 weeks ago and I wouldn't wish that on anybody. I blame Kim Son. I just know I hope it's years before I have to alternate between taking a diahrettic crap and then having to vomit into the same toilet in a public bathroom.

Nothing worse than staying up all night with a sick kid.

Except maybe watching a Dora movie.

My best to your little one.

December 1974. It's my 21st birthday. My brother and his new wife invite me and my roommates over for dinner. They serve fish. The birthday boy gets the bad piece.

Over the next three days, I lose 10 or my 180 pounds by simultaneously having diarrhea and throwing up in the bathtub.

A few months ago, we had dinner in the cafeteria with some friends and my youngest daughter threw up on me 4 times while a good portion of the cafeteria watched in horror. It was pretty funny, really. It was mostly chocolate milk which she had gurgled down right when we sat down to eat after having been running around for a while at the park.

    It was. :)

You can file this in the duh section, but man, I hate stomach viruses. If I'm going to get one, at least be during the week so my weekend isn't wasted. :)

Yep, when your own kids throw up on you, it's usually not THAT bad. The one last night came after she went to sleep in my arms and then woke up with no notice and covered me and the chair (thankfully, not a fabric surface). A quick shower, a little laundry, clean up the chair and floor, and we're back to square one.

I would completely lose it if it was anyone else... including my wife.

By the way, we finally settled down at about 3 am, but my wife just called and said our daughter was adamant to the point of throwing a fit: she only wanted strawberry milk this morning. Of course, she heaved it up immediately.

    Doctor's appt. this afternoon!
