apparently the US media reported about 5-7 k protesters to me, looking at the pictures, it looks much more, http://www.iraqslogger.com/index.php/post/2277 but, the number really doesn't matter, US troops need to pull out slowly and let the Iraqis build up their own future
Apparently rightwing blogs are passing around a cropped photo taken by the military purporting to "show" how small the protests were. Gotta love propaganda
OK, I realize it is kind of childish, but I always get a kick out of watching these protesters butcher the English language. If you are going to go to the trouble of making a big banner, have someone who is fluent in english check it. From what I understand the process of estimating crouds is an exceptionally difficult and contentious thing. I have no opinion on the estimates or the honesty of the people doing the estimating. I'm just saying it is supposedly technically difficult to do.
Because it makes them look like boobs, and I generally try to avoid taking advice from people I don't respect.
At least they tried to put it in English. I can't see American's even putting out the effort to babelfish a translation.
I get a kick out of it as well, but I know that their English is better than my Arabic, so I can't judge them about it at all.
