Don't want to pay the ridiculous $20-25. Any advice or any cheap places to park around the Toyota Center?

Been a season ticket holder since the TC opened. I just get there by 7 and park for free on the street.

Look, you need to have a system. First look for the dream spot right in front
of the toyota center, then slowly expand out in concentric circles.

There are lots of great spots to park near the Toyota Center -- I have NEVER paid for parking over there. I made a little map of my favorite parking back from when I was a season-ticket holder.

meters are only free on sunday, and after six pm, which includes saturday.

whats funny is five dollars on one side of the street and 10 dollars on the other.

you can pay five bucks at one lot, and walk three blocks. it's not that bad.

i know we Houstonians are a bunch of fat obese tex mex eating fat asses, but it's three blocks man.

I park in the theatre district in a private garage free-then walk. A brisk walk. depending on lights and how I go - about a 12 min walk-not sure how many blocks -14 to 16. I've never been robbed, but the derelicts around Montague hotel are a little scary. I wear Rockports - look like dress shoes - feel like running shoes. When I throw a dollar bill on the ground the derelict will stop to pick it up while I run.

I like to get to the game in time to watch players shoot and the cool Rocket history video at 4 min (?) pregame....

Nothing like a live event. Good times!

If I'm bringing a client I pay to park close to arena.

Have dinner at China Garden and you can park in their lot for five bucks.

Just walk through the Tundra garage to get to the Toyota Center.

I park in front of the music studio on Mckinney and Dowling. Same place I park for Astro games.

Free parking = extra money for beer

I valet at the Hilton of the Americas. Its 12 regularly, or 20 if they are full or if I grease the guy to leave my car up front.

You can walk right in the hotel and walk through the restaurant and then out the door and cross the street to toyota center.
