He clearly has the gist of what they're asking, otherwise how could he give coherent answers? I think this is good enough for his circumstances. How about we send you to China, and 4 years later expect you to understand everything that comes out of a native speaker's mouth?

He obviously has a clue what they're saying, even if he doesn't understand everything. Your assessment is overly harsh and IMO offensive.

He has a clue, that was my point. But he is not a fluent english speaker obviously but bullard still treats him like one and puts him in bad spots. How is that offensive?

Nice hearing his thoughts on McGrady. T-Mac can coast and still average almost 25 points. The last two games, like Yao said, are an indication. He's starting to take it to the next level. I say both players will average right around 30 during for the playoffs.

When TMac penetrates and isn't afraid of injury, he can be the most lethal player in the game. Couple that with Yao, and we got the most formidable 1-2 punch since Shaq and Kobe. Now, we just need Rafer and Juwan to get out of their slumps, and Luther to stay hot. As for Bonzi, he just needs to be ready if JVG calls his #.

again that back can act up at any time. though i think w/ patterson, even if he had back spasms, he won't miss a game b/c that thing got him to stand back up right after the treatment.

You said the majority of the interview he has no clue of what they're saying to him. That indeed is insulting.

I'm sure that Yao understands at the very least 80% of the interview.
