Everybody knew it was either gonna be Snyder or Bonzi. Bonzi never showed up. It's time for JVG to keep Snyder in the rotation and get this guy ready in 2 weeks. Head, JHO, JL3, & Deke is too thin of a bench.

adding snyder to that bench you named doesn't exactly make me feel more confidant.

our bench is our biggest liablity and our starters will need to play close to 40 mins a game to minimize how many bench minutes we are forced to give out.

JL3 should not get any min.

Deke, Howard and Head are all quality NBA rotation players off the bench and yes we will need Snyder from time to time so lets get him in there.

In case you haven't noticed, snyder was already there playing while we were going through our losing streak. Snyder is decent, but no more than a scrub and doesn't really help us that much. Bonzi is a game changer. The two aren't comparable.

I dunno...actually, he's been pretty good for us during the few minutes he does play. At least he doesn't turnover the ball much and he seems to have a natural ability to score. I'm comfortable seeing him playing 5-8 minutes a game. His only weakness is his defense, but against a backup point guard, we can get away with that.

Besides, the only other options for backup point is:

    - A tired T-Mac covering for us when he should be resting
    - Luther
    - V-Span

Given this options, playing Lucas for 5-8 minutes, especially if they're not crunch time, sounds sensible.

Not since he came to town. At least Snyder can defend. And he can go 1 for X just like Bonzi, or just make a couple plays a game to help his team out.

The argument is a moot point anyway, Bonzi is gone, and he's been given plenty of opportunities here.

Snyder does the same things as Chuck and can leap out of the gym doing it. He get's to loose balls and rebounds that only Chuck or Battier can. I would like to use as a sub for Battier only.

I only wish he would pick up Battier's defense of putting a hand in the fact near the eyes, which definitely impact a shooter.

Luther head has looked very strong in the last few games. Could this be his breakout year? We'll see how he does in the last several games but if he keeps it up, we have a reliable 3rd scorer ...

Actually, Luther Head is fourth in scoring on this team with 10.8 points. Rafer Alston is third with 13~ points. But we know how many minutes and shots Rafer chucks up, so I would consider Luther our third already

How many minutes do you think anyone's starters average in the playoffs?

Rotations tighten-up as starters' minutes jump in the playoffs.

CORRECTION: Bonzi WAS a game changer in one playoff series last year. Now he is just a big fat locker room cancer.

Agreed. This is regular season issue only. Since both of our main guys went out for extended games, the tread should be relatively thick on both for the playoff run.

I think at the end of the day we will need some plays out of Snyder or Wells. Head getting oversizede, TM or SB needing a break or in foul trouble versus a good big swingman. Looks like Snyder is our shot, can't say I am not concerned but it looks like we should do all we can to get him ready.

It's beyond me how someone playing for a contract and a chance to win a title couldn't step up to the plate in a professional manner...Even Bonzi Wells!
It seems Bonzi's lost whatever pride and passion he had.

That said,I'm not completely clear on the severity of that groin injury.........

Anyway, the lard was trimmed from the roster as we begin our run.

As long as Snyder is healthy,I see him playing 22 - 25 min gm. in the playoffs.Kirk's defense is underrated and he hits the boards.
Plus that wrist will loosen up and I'd hope he'd have his stroke(also underrated) back by the WCF.Kirk's an important guy esp. on a team lacking athleticism.
