Oh the contracy, you reap what you sow. You put little into something and those are the consequences. Everyone making excuses for Bonzi take notice ... BONZI'S ATTITUDE SUCKS. If he put the effort that Mac and Yao put into their game he would have worked out. He has gotten exactly what he's deserved. It is nobody's fault but Bonzi's.

I hope JVG gets fired this year

I can't stand him anymore. I tried to understand him, but it just does not make sense.

Its not about what he deserves, cuz I could care less about what Bonzi deserves or who's fault it is. I just want to see the rockets play the best players that give this team a chance to win in the playoffs. Bonzi is one of the few players on this team if any, that is a proven commodity come playoff time and he brings much needed toughness. If the rockets want to advance past the second round, they will need a player like Bonzi. Trust me when I tell you Greg Popovich, Pat Riley and Avery Johnson would be playing this guy.

Well forgive me but I don't trust you because you don't know what you are talking about by making statements that Popovich, Riley or Johnson would play him regardless of his actions or non actions. Riley this season has put players in the inactive list for not meeting his standards (Posey, Walker), Popovich benches those who don't play defense, etc... and the same goes for Avery (Marquis Daniels).

How do you expect a half hearted Bonzi to be the Bonzi you want him to be if he doesn't give the necessary effort to be successful? You can want Bonzi to have all the impact you want in the playoffs but if the player doesn't give a bleep then all you have is wishful thinking. That player you keep insisting we need to advance is not Bonzi because that Bonzi hasn't shown up. Not this season.

The odds are against Bonzi to just turn it on from his mediocre existance as a Rocket and in my opinion it's unfair to ask the team who began the year with the right mindset and who put the work throughout the season to sacrifice for a player who didn't care enough to get himself together for the team.

You are actually complaining about Rafer not taking a shot? Are you saying JVG has not given Rafer enough playing time to develop confidence. What is JVG supposed to do about Rafer's confidence.

Also, are you saying you would rather our players be decisive and lose, instead of indecisive and win. Let me ask you which game was better for the Rox? The last Laker game where they gave up the lead late in the fourth and had to win in OT, or the game they were down huge against the lakers and went on a 24-1 run to almost win? I will take the collapse and win every day, over the hard charge and loss.

As for your Mcgrady comment, I seriously doubt that JVG yelling at Tmac is going to make him hit is free throws. By the way, in case you werent watching Tmac went for 40,10 and 8. If only he had some heart.

I'm sure he feels the same about you too...

Yeah lets fire the coach who has completely turned around Rockets basketball over the past three years. I mean he only took Steve Francis and his merry band of pot smoking homey's to the playofffs the first year he was here. Completely cleaned house the next year and ended up with a 50 win season, the first in almost a decade. Last year was hopeless and clearly not his fault. And now we see our team on the verge of yet another 50 win season even with Yao going down with the broken leg and missing 30+ games.

Yeah lets fire the guy, he really hasn't done anything worth mentioning....

that is very true, we have been one of the best defensive teams in the league in the last 4 years and where did that take us  We are always playing not to lose, but never play to win. if we still go nowhere this year again, then we need a change.

He ain't suppose to play on court with both Tmac and Yao, that's not his role. So I don't see the point of the argument of him not playing enough with TMac and Yao. He is suppose to come off the bench and be a 3rd scorer anyways... If he needs both Yao and Tmac on the court to be effective then he is not the guy we want him to be.

The game was on the line and we still want home court advantage. Bonzi was sucking, what do you want JVG to do? Leave Bonzi in there to turn the ball over and miss more shots and end up losing the game?

Every coach wants to win, if they win, they get paid. If Bonzi is playing crazy good basketball then he will be on the court. It amazes me that some of you still think this is some kind of ego game between JVG and Bonzi. JVG's contract expires next year, he will do whatever it takes to win games.

I'm saying that rafer is not confident enough to shoot the ball thinking he's going to make it everytime.. otherwise, he would shoot an open shot.

which game do you think i would take, tardo? i'm just trying to point out the obvious that our players don't have enough resolve in them. look at the spurs, suns, and mavs. they have resolve.. and if you wana keep making excuses or taking shots at me.. then whatever, you'll just be more surprised if/when the rockets continue down this path and lose close games in the playoffs..

Here's to hoping they don't do that and that t-mac will learn to play HARD every MINUTE, not game.. and be confident every minute.. and wana take that transition three every minute, not game!! please understand...

thank you!! you understand and put very well one of my underlying points.. we play to sustain.. look at battier, t-mac.. this is why they've never won a series.. b/c in the playoffs, the ppl who want it more will win.. ignore all regular season stats..

you HAVE to look at playoffs.

another thing, every interview, you hear t-mac and battier saying: "if we execute, we SHOULD win our games"

F THAT... go out and get it

i don't care if you inpurposely didn't execute throughout the whole game, if there's a chance you go out and TAKE IT! that's what makes a winner, not stopping an alley-oop, not stopping a corner 3.. for the love of god.. go out and take the game.

T-Mac is the absolute worst example if you're trying to prove someone who doesn't want to win in the playoffs. He has one of the HIGHEST scoring averages in the NBA during the playoffs. There is no doubt that he wants to win. He raises his play to almost unheard of levels. In fact, his averages in the playoffs are almost Jordan-esque (and yes, his averages are MUCH higher than Kobe's...just so you know).

This is the last time I'll respond to this thread...you and EGYPT are a matched pair.

don't take everything so literally, and try to understand where i'm coming from. T-mac starts off great, but when has he every finished? and what makes great players? and WHO makes great plays in the end?

Took a 30 years old average team to the playoffs and forced the Mavs to a game 7 was pretty darn good to me... If it wasn't for the poor officiating, the rockets would've won the series.

If you want a playoff success coach, then look no further... JVG got a pretty decent record in the playoff.

but whatever, i understand that these things might offend the "watching in hopes of victory each night" fan. I love t-mac, but someone needs to get in his head and let him know how dangerous he can be.
