To the Sunday game at 2pm.

I have season tickets with a group of people and I can not go to the game this Sunday (Easter and all).

The seats are the first row on the RR Express side on the 3rd baseline, right next to the dugout.

If you live in or around Austin and would like to go, just reply.

I would love for the tickets to go to good use by some of my Clutchfans brethren.

Since you are first, where are you located, shoot me an email, and I will get them to you.

You will need to bring a baseball glove, for protection from foul balls.

    :D

Also, the tickets come with a parking pass, if you get there early enough you can park right up by the stadium in season ticket parking.

One requirement is you come back to this thread and post about your experience.

There are several games I probably won't make this year, so I will probably give some more away as the season goes on.

If any of you have kids, signe up for the "Kids Club" they have. $15 gets you a blanket, a t-shirt for the kiddo, some other random crap, and 4 gen. admin. tickets for 5 preselected games. I have an 18 month old so grass seats are fine with me. He can run around. My wife can chase him. I can watch the game. (though, it will never actually happen that way).

    DD,

The game went really smooth. It turned out to be a double header (2 games, each 7 frames) with Saturday's game being rained out and all. I did not realize that in Minor League ball, games could be shortened to accommodate a double bill.

The seats were great! No liners were hit our way, but my son got a game ball tossed over by the Cubs 3rd base coach. I also got a really good look at Pence's swing. He really does have an unorthodox style, but he did have some nice cuts (1-3 with a single). Overall, he has an awkward style both in the field and at the plate - but then again so did Bagwell...

Pitchingwise, I thought Gutierrez, McLemore and Estrada all looked great out there. Gutierrez should be in the bigs by next year. Estrada may end up in the setup role on the stros even sooner.

All in all, it was a good outing - Thanks again for the tix!

MLB games can be shortened as well

    4.10
    (a) A regulation game consists of nine innings, unless extended because of a tie score, or shortened (1) because the home team needs none of its half of the ninth inning or only a fraction of it, or (2) because the umpire calls the game. EXCEPTION: National Association leagues may adopt a rule providing that one or both games of a doubleheader shall be seven innings in length. In such games, any of these rules applying to the ninth inning shall apply to the seventh inning.

I am glad you liked the seats, and happy that a fellow Rockets fan was able to enjoy them.

And, RR won both games too giving them a 3-1 record and a share of the division lead.

When I get some more tickets to give away, I will just bump this thread.

And RF, it was very nice meeting your family and I am truly happy that your son got a ball, those seats are ball magnets.....we have gotten like 7 balls in the last 10 or so games.....

I am much nicer in person.

    :D

We probably should have a Rockets Austin get together, at least during the playoffs.
