Good to see you Sam. Better than a Goading Sam...

    I digress.

If that is the best article you can come up with, which confirms my point, then I'm not sure where you're going with this.

It is widely known that the largest reason we , as Americans, have a problem with illegals is that they export money illegally.

If illegals came in as immigrants, and produced growth, we'd have no problems.

The problem is, ansd something Mexico is encouraging, is that illegals get paid under the table, and Western union it back to mexico.

Is it that hard to see?

Just admitting that you were proven wrong would have been easier. But anyway it is useful I suppose to know what misconceptions people who operate under, though I'm not sure if the purposefully ignorant really are that big of a group.

Uncredited contributions to Social Security grew by nearly $300 billion from 2000 to 2004, a giant increase attributable mostly to illegal aliens using erroneous Social Security numbers, and one seniors group said this will become a major liability if those aliens are legalized.

you are right texx, the liberal bush is having a hard time getting his amnesty for illegals passed. now that the dems are in power he will probably get his wish. and you will applaud and support it all the way because it is bush.

im glad you can now see that bush is a liberal. if the reasons were concern for the poor that would be one thing, but it is driven more out of concern for business, access to cheap labor and the destruction of the american middle class.

I'm paying cash for some landscaping work I'm having done in a couple of weeks. There is a reason they prefer cash... Read between the lines. Do you think they are reporting that income to the IRS? HA!

Sam, you must not get out much, because all those day laborers that congregate around town get paid in cash. You are simply out of touch.

Well, this just proves the ignorance of using your own individual situation and extrapolating it out to everyone.

MIDDLEBURY — Vermont farmers knowingly take fake identification documents when hiring illegal Mexican immigrants, but have no authority to challenge the papers' veracity, an advocate for migrant workers says.

"They have fake IDs," said Cheryl Mitchell of the Addison County Migrant Workers Coalition. "The reality is that everyone knows these folks are undocumented."

Immigration experts say fake Social Security cards and other documents are routinely sold in immigrant neighborhoods along the U.S.-Mexican border, often using made up or stolen Social Security numbers.

The result is that farmers pay the employer's share of Social Security taxes, even though their employees won't be able to collect benefits when they retire, Mitchell said.

"These workers are actually helping to shore up the Social Security system," Mitchell said.

The federal Social Security Administration took in $7 billion in 2003 and $9.5 billion in 2004 in payments based on Social Security cards on which numbers and names didn't match, said spokesman Michael Lassiter.

"We can't account for how much of that is from people who are here illegally or the result of a mix-up because of a change of name after a marriage or a typographical error in spelling a person's name," he said.

It's believed that most of the estimated 2,000 Mexicans who work on Vermont dairy farms are in the U.S. illegally, placing them among 12 million illegal aliens, half of them from Mexico.

Peter Conlon, a dairy labor support specialist for Agri-Placement Services Inc., said the Mexican workers he places in jobs have both Social Security cards and "green cards" making it legal for them to work. He said he has to assume the paperwork is good.

"Only the federal government can investigate the legitimacy of a green card," he said. "If the documents presented to you look legitimate, as an employer you don't have a choice but to accept them."

so you hire illegal aliens to save some money. so its okay as long as you benefit from them? how much is it to pay a few bucks extra for a legit landscaper? thought you were rich? and why are you so against them again?

That's might not be a bad thing. The biggest thing causing illegal immigration is the economic imbalance between the US and Mexico. Illegals sending money down to Mexico helps their economy and if it contributes to long range develop that might reduce the need for them to come here.

Also while illegals are sending a fair proportion of their income down to Mexico they are still spending money here buying food, clothes, gas and other things so its not like all of their money is going to Mexico.

So you're undermining the cause that you preach so passionately about. If you don't like illegal immigrants then why are you hiring them?

If anything you are the one who is pro-illegal immigration since you go around trumpeting that you hire them.

He didn't change subject, but rather looked at fact and cause by using logic.

It's true that if THAT illegal immigrant was deported before, those girls would still be alive. That guy happend to be a illegal immigrant, and he's a Latino as well. By the same token, if you ban all Latinos in this country, or ban all Latino males getting into a car with female, those girls would still be alive as well. Are you going to support that ban?

If your law will punish women with 90 lashes, if they get into a car with men unrelated to them, those girls would still be alive today as well. Are you going to support that law as well?

Obviously, that guy happens to be an illegal immigrant, and happens to be a Latino, but those were NOT the reason those girls lost lives. Drunk and Drive WAS the ONLY REASON. Illegal immigrant needs to be dealt with, but that's not the CAUSE of those girls' losing lives. Is it that hard to understand?

Wow. I have always suspected this. They only effective way to halt illegal immigration is to harshly punish those who hire them (not by building walls on borders). They are the ones creating the market. And strangely enough they are also the ones complaining about it the most. It is hard to comprehend.

Jorge, I hope you are giving them IRS Form 1099's as appropriate or you are illegally employing them. Hopefully deducting social security taxes as appropriate, too. Any accountants or tax attorneys that can advise Jorge about these matters.

If you think about it, .it is wierd that Jorge complains about them being "illegal" while he fails to follow the law and engages in illegality while working them.
