The divorce was really messy, and it was all his fault. He basically cheated on her with someone that worked for him.

Just saw it last night. I loved it. It was a fun movie to watch. My favorite was Rodriguez's Planet Terror. Tarantino's "Bulletproof" was the closest to what a real B-Movie looks like but it just took a while to develop. And the fake trailers were awesome.

I still can't believe the numbers at the box office. It should be making more than what "300" did. You're basically getting 2 badass movies back2back for the price of 1 but its not about the convenience of money. It's about the way we see movies and how well they're made. The best movie of 2007 thus far.

If a movie is 3 hours and 11 minutes long, it's obviously at a disadvantage with the number of screenings, which skews the numbers in the short-term. I saw this before noon, so let's just say I got my 4$ worth. "Planet Terror" was significantly better; and I liked the fact both films were set in Texas.

    Go and see it.

Excellent movie. Hell, the faux trailers were worth the admission alone.
"Death Proof is far and away the better flick. There's a reason why it was selected to be shown in competition at Cannes. Longer cut apparently.

The 3+ hour length of the movie is keeping me from watching it. I may just wait till DVD and watch each movie separately.

Deathproof was garbage. Planet Terror rocked.

I had the exact opposite response, but I really don't like horror/gore movies. Death Proof reminded me of movies I used to watch on Saturday afternoons.

I liked Planet Terror better, too.

I read in Newsweek, I think, that Tarantino thinks some of the dialogue he wrote between the girls in Death Proof was the best of his career. I thought it was hit or miss at best. Cool movie in its own right, though.

Correct. It was Rose McGowan. They were having sex on the set, in her trailer. His wife caught them. The set shut down for almost two months because Robert freaked out when his wife left him. His ex owns a controlling interest in his production company and got basically everything in the divorce mainly because McGowan walked in one day in the middle of the process and told Robert, "If your divorce isn't finished in 4 days, I'm leaving you." Crazy stuff.

Rose looked like a coked out skeleton at the premier.

She was wearing a backless dress and stood not six inches from me facing photographers on the other side of the red carpet. I could see her rib cage.

I have always found her really attractive, but she did not look good when I saw her. She needed about 10-15 extra pounds and then she could've been smokin'.

Planet Terror was great, but I was disappointed with Death Proof.

I really wanted the girls in Death Proof to die after making me sit through all that talking.

Robert is a friend of mine. I had a lot more in my post above, but took it out.

He was a founder with me at Digital Anvil and we have talked about doing a post apocalyptic movie and game together.

I met Elizabeth years ago before any of their kids were born. My college roomate was the lead bad guy in El Mariachi which is how I first met them.

The whole thing is kind of sad really.
