no one is better or smarter than Bonzi in his position. Snyder never scored as much as Bonzi did even though he played more minutes.
I'm sorry DD, this is like the first time i disagree with you I think Bonzi is crucial in order to beat Utah at least.
Bonzi cam to the ROX knowing that he will be a backup player, and if so why can't be s postup guy when Yao is out or double teamed or even having a bad game? Bonzi is a weapon and a good team should always try to collect weapons and use them instead of being one dimentional.
Actually Bonzi came here not wanting to be a backup. He wanted to be the 3d option. I remember him telling the Houston media that when he signed here.
couldnt be stuffed making new thread, but check this out http://youtube.com/watch?v=zTNzdletsfc , during the end battier runs thru each player, and everyone on the wall gets an honourable mention, EXCEPT BONZI haha, ie. this is luther head *points at luther heads picture* "his a great shooter" and gives everyone a lil comment EXCEPT BONZI, after he says "you got bonzi wells" *points at bonzi's picture*, he kinda looks away and pauses with a moments silence hahha, even shane battier coudlnt think of something positive to say about bonzi hahah
For the Playoffs JVG must think with a fresh approach!!! He needs to play 9 or 10 player rosters. In this way he can spring a few surprizes on the other teams. Bonzi and Snyder should be playing with Rafer playing slightly less. Novak if in shape could come infor five mins and shoot a few threes in set plays. JVG must play the best roster that matches up with the opponent. With a more versatile roster our main core will have a chance to last for several rounds, if good enough!
That's what i'm saying. Guys like Chuck one dimensional Hayes and Ryan no dimensional Bowen play heavy minutes but guys with talent like Bonzi and guy with potential like Novak don't play at all.
You think we should EXPAND the rotation going into the playoffs? That would be innovative, since every other team shrinks their rotation for the playoffs. It isn't going to happen, because no coach does that, and JVG might be the least likely of any of them do buck that trend, but it is a fresh approach.
You know what's really sad? It seems like you're actually happy that Bonzi doesn't appear to fit. It seems like you're anti-Bonzi... almost like you don't want him to fit so that it will make you look good since you've said this months ago. What's up with the smiley face at the end of your post? You're seriously happy that this season's been a disaster for him? You're 100% sold on Bonzi not fitting. It's like you're more worried about being right than the Rockets doing well. You dread the idea of Bonzi playing well, and some poster on here bumping up your "Trade Bonzi... he doesn't fit here" thread specifically to ridicule you. Let me tell you something... Bonzi Wells is not only going to play today, he's going to play the next game, then the next game, and then every game after that. He's going to be on the playoff roster, he's going to appear in every playoff game, and he's going to contribute positively. As the crucial 3rd scorer, he will be the x-factor in how far we go in the playoffs. Sorry DD, but as much as this is going to hurt your pride, you're going to find out within the month that Bonzi does indeed fit, and by fit, I mean we'll be winning ball games with him playing a role in them. You'll be eating crow man... you and all those posters who call him "Bouncy Whales". Oh, and...
