Man...I would trade Rafer for a strip of lettuce & that toy that comes in a MacDonald's happy meal..... T-mac is the ONLY rockets player that never gets wide open looks.....He is the one that has to do that for everyone else......I can't remember te last ime I seen t-mac get a jumper without somebody's hand in his face..... Oh maybe because our point guard has the court vision of a blind dog & makes worst decisions than Enron executives.. or the fact that our power foward on Offense without T-mac in the lineup is as useless as a Playboy magazine in Ricky Martin's dressing room or the fact that our Sf couldn't create his own shot if we put a joystick in his hand or the fact that our coach, without t-mac in the lineup is as lost as Ray Charles in a New york subway or the fact that our backup PF couldn't play defense if JVG super glued the opposing player to the front of his jersey besides luther, the fact that our bench players couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat So before people start talking about trading t-mac, they need to realize the garbage and average players that he makes ALOT better than they really are... Some of our players would live, sleep & eat on the bench if they played for Phoenix, Spurs, Detriot, Dallas, and a few other teams... T-mac makes our scrubs look ateast average
Tmac is a slow player. I cant deny his basketball talent. but he is really not worth the 16,900,000 bucks money. we can easily get someone else who could also make 20,5,5 per game in the league with the same or less money.
You seriously think McDonald folks are gonna fall for that one? You think those corporate folks would give up on $1.20 profit from lettuce and happy meal toy in favor of Rafer Alston??! Just so that they could pay millions of $$ to let folks drive by him all day at the drive thru?!? BTW, here's what my little sister has to say about giving up her Happy meal toy for Rafer.
LOL!....Opposing point guards already love Driving by him on the court, so I though a resturant drive-thru wouldn't be that different...
If you can trade T-mac for a good swingman And a good PG And a good PF, then trade him. if no, shut up plz.
excellent point. how much does nash make? 17 mill goes a long way. is tmac good? yes. but the question is: is he really worth more than 30% of our salary cap? in the meantime, lets see how far we can go this season.
Let's be realistic here... For the right deal we trade him. But no one will offer us anything worth taking anymore. This season would've been so much better if Bonzi was in shape. Then again, it's already been better than I expected. We're going through tough times, but we have some games left to work these kinks out.
I really do not understand some of you guys. T-Mac is the onl reason we are in the pla-offs. when Yao went down everybody was afraid we would have the same type of season as last year. T-mac saved us from that. The only problem i have with T-Mac is that i'm not sure he can stay healthy, if he can i wouldn't trade him. Lets hope he stays healthy for the play-offs and prove all the doubters on this board wring.
Yes, Tracy McLazy has not been great the last few games , after carrying the team that Yao left injured, so lets trade him.
What has become of Rocket fans Realistically, you would only get 40cents on the dollar right now regardless of which superstar is traded. T-Mac would be traded for something like Ricky Davis, Mark Madsen, and Fred Hoiberg's expiring contract. Worst thread ever since that adeel dude announced he was gay and then decided not to.
Boy you didn't see this coming like a runaway 18 wheeler down I-45 with the horn blaring and the lights flashing...
I agree trade T-Mac in the off season. He is injury prone and it is going to get worse as he gets older. He has so much potential but he settles for jump shots instead of taking the ball to the hoop. We need the old T-Mac to get this team deep in the playoffs. My suggestion is to trade him the Wolves for K-G. The other option is to trade him to a lottery team like the celtics.
you just raise this interesting point so i did a little search. how many players with 20, 5, 5 this season? here is the list Kobe Bryant , LAL 31.1, 5.7, 5.4 LeBron James , CLE 27.5, 6.8, 6.0 Tracy McGrady , HOU 24.0, 5.1, 6.3 which one you want easily get with the same or less money?
At that time, tmac was cleary the first Option. It's not about shots, points, it's all in players mind. It looks like once tmac thought Yao was the first option, he lost himself. At this late stage of the season, I would rather JVG told tmac cleary that he's still the first option, yao is the second. By doing this, we have a 28/6/6 tmac shoots 46% + a 22/12/2 yao, it's much better than a 30/12/2/ yao with a 20/6/6 tmac shoots 37% We have the whole next season to let tmac adjust. If not working out, at least tmac's trade value will be much higher after some good playoff games.
Tmac will be the key...he needs to perform for us in the playoffs...( as in get us the heck out of the first round) if we don't make it out of the first round again this year... they are going to need to shake this team up... trade Yao or Tmac... I think... the axe should go to Tmac or JVG... Jvg being the Coach...and Tmac the leader of the team...
