Ok so I have a friend who's going back overseas over the summer and one of his family wants him to bring back a basketball goal "from America." I told him to go to Oshman's or something, but he said they want a decent one without the pole and the base like ones seen here: http://www.sportserve.co.uk/pics/513-easijust.gif I think he said they want just the board and the rims.. like the ones you stick on the roof of your garage or something. I personally don't think they know what they're talking about. So what do you guys suggest and where can he get it? Gracias!
if your in Houston, over at Kirby/59's Academy, they have a "in ground" GLASS i believe 44' inch goal on clearance for like $78, i was going to get it because I thought it was portable, but was in ground. Anybody know where I can get a portable goal for less than $100 preferably a glass backboard?

haha yeah portables are so wimpy, I had to practically remake the whole thing melding the rim to bolts and stacking cement blocks on the back but it still holds alright as long as no one hangs, so dont get a portable for sure
I've used one of those. The quality is great but the price is just absurd. They market those to those that want to avoid all the setup (the company will set it up for you) and are willing to pay extra for that.
