Head was awesome. Stupid Jazz fans were telling us one the ESPN forums that we're idiots for using Head's absence as an excuse for losing to them.

Tracy sounds like he doesn't want to play until the playoffs.

Holy hell, looking at the pictures, I knew squaring up and pushing against the player was legal and all that, but I didn't think grabbing a player's pants line and having two players sandwich him together is...legit. That's outright pushing, or a t least it looks like it from my perspective.

when the first few mins when Tmac was in the court, everybody had back to the half for defense, but Tmac were still out of camera... and several seconds later, Tmac walked into the camera and stood there watching, luckily they didnt make the shoot, then Tracy walked back to the other end....
is that the Tmac we ever loved??????????
I really feel disapponted about him.
If he continues playing like this, he cannot even be called a Star.

Wow, what a terrible shooting game from Battier. 4-17 FG, 3-11 3FG. I was thinking he should take more shots so that Alston can take less. Sigh...

Alston had a decent shooting night and was forced to take more shots with T-Mac out. 6 turnovers though... yeesh... what happened?

    jvg got outcoached???

    he didnt have mcgrady
    Rafer took 17 shots
    Battier took 17 shots

    Yao took 4 shots

i doubt his game plan was to not feed the ball to yao in the post...

Well, considering his game plan produced 24 TOs, we'll never really be able to tell.

I think this is one of the the games in the season where you just can't defend JVG.

Hey DaDakota, you see this? You still think he's faking the injury? Something tells me you'll ignore this picture and believe what you believe anyway. You'll probably think T-Mac put that on to act like he was hurt.

    1. The Clippers and the Warriors are fighting for the 8th spot which faces the Dallas in the playoff.
    2. No 2nd round in playoff means losing job of coaching. ;)
    3. Avoid injuries.
JVG is gambling. I think beating Jazz is a must for him, so keeping players health means more than winning a game. HCA is not that important, Rox needs to beat jazz 4-2 or 4-1, or Rox is unlikely to go further.
2nd round hopefully we can meet the warriors instead of the Dallas. Then we are heading to WCF. How ambitious Gundy is!
By the way, do not tell David he is tanking. :D

JVG spend the whole game to find a way how to pass the ball to Yao safely.

and the result is : 20 turnovers

Please don't use the word TANK. It's only ONE game.

yeah it definitely wasn't his gameplan...so what does that show about his ability to either:
    1. get his players to follow the gameplan
    or
    2. adapt if the players simply can't follow the gameplan

i don't know about you, but either way, something isn't right. it shouldn't be that hard for an NBA coach to figure out how to take advantage of the kind of defense we saw tonight, and which we have seen countless times from smaller, more athletic teams. the rockets are the easiest team to defend: play zone and front yao. people say 'its just a matchup problem'; well, too bad, because this is the kind of matchup problem that the 2 teams we are most likely to have to play against, phoenix and dallas, will present.

if its not ok to criticize jvg for this game, for being unable to solve what has been a problem for 4 years, when is it ok to criticize him?

that is the best defense i have ever saw on yao cuz harrington was so quick, they didnt even double him(only when he received the ball) harrington did an excellent job of fronting him and causing the gaurd to do turnovers. And worried about phoenix and dallas? Lets worry about Utah and the first round first.
