    This doesn't make any sense. McGrady has coasted before, and JVG never dared bench him. Why would he do that now, at this point in the season? This is a must-win game. Yao is the one who's been rendered completely useless in this game, and McGrady is sitting on the bench?

    He had gone to Waco to have a thorough medical check with Dr. Patterson prior to this match, and the results were positive.

    He actually stayed behind to practice on his 3-pointer shooting together with VSpan and Shane Battier at the team practice.

    He is not injured. He is benched.

    I'm not buying this stiff lower back excuse. Keith Jones said there was nothing physically wrong with him. If McGrady had a stiff lower back and that's why he wasn't coming back in the game, I think the trainer would know that.

    JVG has finally learned his lesson about not playing V-Span. We are playing Greek T-Mac instead of the USA version.

    it was just officially announced by rockets reporter it was stiff lower back, sitting out for precautionary reasons

    That Utah game was pretty much the dagger to the HCA race I guess.
