We understand you like your turnaround and falling-away shots, but please use your left/right hook shot as your #1 option, your go-to shot, like Kareem, kevin willis, j.howard, and cwebb. It is almost unblockable.

he would have to be within 2-4 feet to use that shot.. which is very difficult to get that deep... u want him to hoot shot from 10 feet away?

I think Chuck bricks his hook shot on purpose. It takes the defender by suprise, gives him a clear shot to the rim, and really helps his offensive rebounding stats.

I would argue that when he is deep in the paint he almost always does

is that a problem? both of these guys have a very good jump hook. short guys should always use the hook when they are close to the basket. nba players play above the rim.

yao can take one or two dribbles before putting the hook up. the hook would be a much better shot than the turnaround shot especially against shot blockers.

The Chuck Wagon can do anything! We're gonna ride him to the promise land. At least that's what Bill Worrell told me.

I don't think Yao needs anyone to teach him how to shoot the ball, maybe hakeem.

Kevin Willis's jump hook is textbook.
you cant fault Yao too much for taking turnaround and fadeaway jumpers. he's stamina probably doesn't permit him powering into a deep enough spot to shoot jump hook every time down the court. the % of his turnaround and fadeaway is still high so I'm fine with him being lazy sometimes. ;)

So is it a stamina problem or a matter of laziness? Make up your mind.

Putting those guys in the same sentence as Kareem is out right ridiculous....

Kevin Willis hook shot was ugly as his face was....I remember Kevin willis use to try to do the Dream shake, but he never moved his feet...so instead, he just shook his upper body while standing in the SAME place (not faking anyone), and threw up that drunkazz hook shot from 19ft out ,and the only thing that hook shot did hit, was the damn back board or Court side camera-men....That wasn't no damn Dream Shake...that was a Dream Malt...or a Dream Blizzard....

Yao game is fine, He does everything he needs to....We need Bonzi Wells for the playoffs, because Mr. Incosistnent Alston can't be our 3rd option.......can't be....shane can't either, because he shoots 5 shots, over a 7 game span...

I hate when JVG has T-mac & Yao on the bench at the same time, and the Rockets bench get outscored 0-17 in a 2minute stretch....We need Bonzi!

When he faces up to the basket, he should consider just taking set shots. Since his fts are so damn accurate, I would assume those shots would go in too. Usually his man leaves him pretty wide open when he is at the top of the key. So I say just take the shot!

i don't know if willis' hook shot is ugly or not. but, i do know his hook was very effective and it was his primary shot.
