amazon has it for $2,999 +$300 for a 2 year service plan
amazon.com is an authorized samsung dealer

    buy.com has it for $2,498

Has anyone bought a TV from buy.com??? Do they offer extended warranty plans? (i dont see anything so im assuming that they dont)
    Any problems with shipping?

i've never thought about buying a tv from a site other than amazon or crutchfield.com

damn, i want this tv before the playoffs start...

I've bought a ton of stuff in the past from buy.com (although not much recently). I've never bought a tv from them, though. A lot of their stuff ships from Dallas, I believe. I don't know if tv's do. It's a reputable company, if you're worried about that.

DO NOT USE PAYPAL with buy.com. I had this big ordeal for returning something. I returned it and they claimed they didn't receive it. i manually tracked the shipment back to them through their outsourced company and finally they admitted they got it back (but didnt know why it wasnt registered as a return). this took like 3 months.

I'd recommend Onecall or Tigerdirect for TVs. their service was great.

Oh BUY.com uses call centers in India. nothing wrong with India, but I want someone closer to the ground here to help me.

Take the ad to Best Buy, if they carry the TV, and try to get them to price match it and the warranty. Thats what I did with my TV because I wanted to buy it from a retail store in case I had problems with the TV. It wasn't too difficult to get them to do it either, although they do have a rule saying that they online price match brick and mortar stores within a certian radius. But......if you are ready to pay for it, they will match it. Use a BB rewards card too, you get 5 dollars back for every 100 you spend.

Speaking about TV, guys, what do you think of the the brand, Vizio? Their prices at Sam's club have very very low.. 32" is now less than 500.. The picture is awesome but I dont know its reliability and durability.. Thanks.

my friend went thru 2 vizio's in a span of about a month...i would stay away..just pay the extra cash and get a decent brand tv...(of course there will be ppl that say they have had their vizio for a year plus without any problems but personally i dont think its worth the potential hassle)

thanks....i've never tried this, because they dont match internet prices. i guess it's worht a shot. they dont have this tv yet at best buy. i guess i'll wait

buy.com seems pretty good...but i just dont know about tv's. i'd rather buy it from an authorized samsung dealer so they'd have some responsibility if anything went wrong. The main thing i want is an extended warranty. i bought a hitachi tv about 3 years ago, and last month i got this yellow cloud over my tv. the guy came yesterday and said it was the light engine causing the problem. the LE alone is about $1500, but when i bought the tv i a three year extended waranty. it expires in MAY so im very lucky that this happened now and not in may...

Definitley try to price match with Best Buy. I still ended up paying a little more than I could have gotten my TV for online (damn you 8.25% tax  ), but I feel a hell of a lot more comfortable knowing that I can run into Best Buy and raise hell if my TV craps out. I have had the TV for about 15 months now, 62" Toshiba DLP. The lamp went out a few months back and BB was at my apartment the next morning to replace it.
