Hard to tell from the YouTube quality, but Rafer did a great job finding the open man, breaking down his man and hitting the mid-range jumper back then. 16 points, 7 boards, 5 assists in 26 minutes, 0 turnovers, I think he got to the line like 10 times that game too ... just real aggressive, which is what I'd like to see more of today out of him. Oh wait.... ahh crap, that's not Rafer.
topfive -- I can't remember who originally did that image -- was it you? Because it's always been one of my favorites.... hysterical.
Jeff Van Gundy is my all-time favorite coach. He still believes he's coaching a high school basketball team and shows the heart and integrity for it. F**k coaches like Phil Jackson.
I remember that. I think That was the Moment snyder got in Sloans dog house, IIRC he was benched after that and suspended by sloan for a game or something.
Sura's heart, attitude, aggressiveness, will, emotion, and leadership are the missing elements on this team. A healthy Sura, in his prime would take this team, this year, further than it is going to go.
I'm pretty sure that Sloan was just as pissed an Van Gundy and pulled Snyder and apologized to Van Gundy.
Good gravy. At this point V-Span cannot carry Sura's Jock. If Sura shot as poorly and turned the ball over like Span, then he wouldn't have played much either, no matter how "tough minded" he was.
