Yep, the die hards, we were right there cheering the team on.....and that was a different team. Those guys believed they were going to win...not just hoped like this year's squad. By the way, I have been a fan since the early 70s, what about you? DD
\ Yeah, I am very sure that you knew they were going to win it all when we were down 0-2 in the Suns series in 1994. I could not care less how long you have been a b**** fan for.
Wow - welcome to the low class world of name calling. And indeed I was upset down 0-2, does that mean I quit watching or rooting the team on? Funny how people like you tend to focus on other fans and your perception of what makes a "True" fan instead of looking at the team and what they need to do to improve. It is a matter of expectations, it seems you are happy to just root for the team.....good for you.....me, I expect greatness...... And I ask you politely to stop the name calling it is not a classy thing to do. DD
You are a b**** fan. That is not a name call, that is a reality. You do nothing but b****. I just think people who want to continually tear our team down suck all the fun out of it.
I think it has to do with all the chumps who showed up with red shirts on... thinking this game mattered... the joke was on us... I can see the Jazz fans laughing...
Wow - just wow. Being a fan and having contstructive criticism of the team and discussion on what is wrong and right with the team is part of being a fan. IMHO. If you don't like it, then feel free to leave. Go sit in a nice wittle-bitty circle wearing your jammies hold hands and sing c*m-buy-ya until your wittle throat hurts. But stay out of the lane, this is a man's game.........and you are just a little kid. Life is a meritocracy kid, deal with it !!!!! Come strong or don't come at all.....JUNIOR ! DD
PP - attacking fellow posters does a lot more to "suck the fun out" on this BBS than anything else. Try to focus on the posts rather than the posters, keep in mind that (even if you are right) slinging mud around here hurts your rep 10x more than the other person. Save the language for the refs, the Mavericks, and Kobe. DD - to be fair, it has felt like most of this season you've been more interested in windows to jab JVG than "what's right" with the team. With all that out of the way - if we were going to lose, now was a good time for it to happen. Let the loss fester a little, let it piss the team off a little, and help them refocus for the 8-game series starting April 18. Rafer deserves all the crap he's getting. Anytime he tries to be a major source of offense for us, this happens. His 3 with 10 secs left was unbelievably dumb. Snyder gave us zero, and Shane has got to find a way to contribute more points. On the flipside, we did a good job on Boozer and Williams (9-28 combined), and that's a major matchup concern. I have no reason to think that losing this game means we can cash in the season. Evan
My expectations for this team are higher than any team since probably '97....I believe the talent is there to win it all and challenge for the championship. I think that some of it is being used incorrectly and it bugs the heck out of me. DD
yes... we did a great job against thier starters... but then virtually all of there second string/bench players played some big minutes in the 4th... and we had no answer...
I'm not so sure about that. Have you read the game threads when we lose? It's awash in negativity with people aruging over who deserves the blame...just like this last game.
i don't agree with Dadakota's assessment of JVG, but that's going a bit too far. he does more than his share of voicing his disdain for JVG but let's keep it civil here. if anything, Dakota is an idiot, not a b****. i keed.
THANK YOU !!! I theeenk ! There are plenty of threads I post about the positives, but I do have great expectations......and if the Rockets don't meet them...they deserve the criticism. DD
Apology accepted. We are all Rocket fans here. If you don't like the criticizing, just put someone on ignore. DD
I agree it was more important and we lost. But it is still one game. It doesn't change what happened in other important games. It doesn't mean we can't catch them. We are only 1 1/2 games back. That one game is no symptomatic of our whole season as we have both won and lost big games. There is no reason to add extra weight to this particular big game. Sure it was important and we lost. We just have to win the next one.
So if they weren't an 8 seed, but instead a 5 or 6, they somehow would've been worse off in the playoffs?
unfortunately, our season IS over if we can't beat the first team we'll be meeting in the playoffs, which as it turned out we lost to at home yesterday.
The Rockets have gone 1-2 against the Jazz this season. There is still one to play. To say the Rockets "can't beat" the Jazz is overstating. The first round is a best of 7 series. I am willing to bet that T-Mac won't go 9-23 in every game. This loss was disappointing, to be sure. But it in no way means the Rockets cannot or will not win in the playoffs.
