probably cuz he was hitting iron all game long. still there was a lot more wrong with his decision-making this game than just the last possession. i hope the yelling thing is not true either. its fine to yell, even beat up yourselves in the locker room, but not in public. it makes you look like a douche, of which Dirk is one.

I guess you didn't see how T-mac yell at yao during the last playoff during a game in which Yao struggle (he had a turnover). And we can carely see t-mac holding yao with both hands on yao's arms talking to him face to face.

yelling at your teammate is perfectly fine imo since they only do it b/c someone really made a stupid play. I recall dirk yelling & throwing his towel during game 6 on the 2004 playoff b/c his teammate didn't foul nash on the last play. (nash forced OT with a 3, and sun won in OT advancing to the WCF)

if you mean the to of yao in game 6, tmac passed the ball to yao and yao didn't catch and turned the ball over and tmac got a foul when trying to recover the ball, tmac didn't yell at yao at all. he got upset and turned his head to another direction and shouted sth. then when they both went to bench, tmac held yao's shoulder and talked to yao's ear. he said after the game that he encouraged yao.

if you don't mean this one, say which game and when, i will verify if tmac really "yelled" to yao. otherwise, take your stupid words on tmac back.

no matter how great yao played and how stupid he thought the last play was, he has no right to yell at tmac. you recall dirk yelling at teammates so what? is dirk good leader? not even close. a leader is never only about scoring, you need to do a lot on court off court, keep your teammates up. look at nash, look at wade. those are real leaders.

i like this rox very very much. don't tell me our stars are same as dirk or kobe. when team wins, want all focus and appreciation; when team loses, yell at teammates. suck, simply suck.

We need a big motivational assistant coach to yell at t-mac, rafer, and luther whenever they make boneheaded plays like this...

I don't think JVG can earn respect at this role, they will be like wtf little bald white short man, you don't know anything about being a star player...

I recommend Mr. T or possibly UT strength coach:

As u said, "if yao really did this" which means u arenot quite sure about that so why u made such damn crap, "Especially you yao", come on, tmac sucks tonight that is plain obvious. How come the guys like u bashing Yao when he had such **** night but not tmac by us. What a bias! And do u remember Tracy gave harsh words to Yao at playoff last time? NUFF,I love yao, i love rockets but your post makes me sick. Just speaking for myself, That's all.

"Encouraged Yao"?!?! If U think this way, i also can say Yao was encouraging Tracy by tracy's encouraging method. Period! no one wanna loss such a crucial game but the way u speak really cannot make me keep calm.

yeah was refering to that one. I know that wasn't really "yelling" as in a negative way, but its pretty much the same case here.

Why doesn't yao get the right to yell at T-mac for that last play? Yao was forced to play 40 min b/c T-mac and the rest of the team didn't step up. And when we get a chance to tie the game, T-mac simply didn't have the gut to take the shot. There is no excuse for it, he should have take the shot. T-mac is a superstar and get paid the most, he should take the blame for that last shot.

As for dirk, I think he's a great leader b/c hes competitve, and have that strong desire to win.

Heck -- at least Yao is man enough to own up whenever he screws up (even if he isn't prompted).

I don't care who yells at who as long as they can get back on the right track starting Wednesday. As the schedule goes that last game in Utah may still be for the Home Court.

Right... 35/16/4 is not a good game. I wonder what is then. Yao had every right to yell at Rafer or T-mac, because both of them were horrible that game. Missing FT's. Are you kidding me? Yao shot 15 of the 23 total freethrows we had, and made more than anybody else combined. T-mac shot 2 FTs the whole game... 2! That's not even remotely acceptable for a player of his caliber. T-mac should not have passed to Rafer for the 2nd to last play, nor should he have passed to Yao after getting a clean look on the base line.

I like the emotions that Yao was displaying on the court. I would be pissed too, if I had carried my team for almost 4Q, and then to have it collapse b/c of stupid decisions on the court.

Yao can make that shot. I remember Hakeem made a three pointer during the playoffs in 95 and though Hakeem is so far and away the better player, Dream wishes he had a shot like Yao. ;)
