yeah, give the name that could be counted as reliable in Rocket Team in 4th quarter...

Do you watch the game while Tmac is nursing his back, who take the load at the 4th quarter and hit the shot

He's tired, he scores 35 pts, what else do you want.

The last few plays is drawed for TMAC, who should take the fxcking ball and attack the rim...

when yao is tired he really sucks. you could see in the 4th he wasnt good position in the post. then when he does get it he doesnt even make a move, he just kind turns and forces a shot up. what happened to the shanghai shake ?

there should have been more plays drawn up for t-mac in the 4th. i also think we REALLY miss luther heads 3 point shooting. i dont think he would have missed all those 3s that rafer did... ah well, im still very confident rockets can beat the jazz in a series

Oh, BTW I think we can conclusively answer the question that people around here have been bandying about. Is McGrady as good as Kobe? NO. Still want to compare him to Kobe?

redao, if Yao's jump shooting sucks, what does that make Alston's shooting?

How about: concentrating on defense and rebounding and setting pick and let another superstar called TMac to score big in the fourth quarter?

yeah but the problem is that even with yao struggling, you still have a better chance with the ball on yao's hand then in T-mac. T-mac only got 2 FT attempt (and miss both)

Our problem wasn't OFFENSE, it was DEFENSE.

In hindsight, I would've switched Yao with Deke, but hindsight is 20/20. Just overall, a dissapointing loss.

the only thing im going to blame Yao on... is he still needs to work on getting better position in the 4th...

enough so he can make a 2 or 3 step move... to the basket...

he needs to stop shooting jump shots in the 4th,... and drive the ball in and either get fouled, or get a offensive foul...

You can not make a conclusion simply based on the relatively terrible shots he made in 4th, look at those clutch rebounds he got. Obviouly we have high expectations, and the 4th this game is not Yao's best performance. But he played a decent game and 4th quarter.

Deke got a few minutes and did absolutely nothing. All he did was foul. What makes you think he would have done anything in crunchtime? Yao played fine on both ends.

well i disagree... when yao is tired he's not very good on offense. he lets guys push him out of position too easily and he misses shots he would normally make.
even when t-mac is off i trust in his ability to score. when yao is tired i get very nervous. the good news is the rockets got pretty much what they wanted on offense guys were just off tonight. and if that ref hadn't called a block when it really should have been a charge on boozer, we probably would have won the game.

Yao dominates the first 3 quarters and Tmac dominates the 4th. At least that is how it's suppose to go down. Even with the Kobe and Shaq combo, Shaq would dominate the first 3 quarters while Kobe dominates the 4th. Of course, in their case, Kobe actually comes through in the 4th. Seriously, any comparisons between Kobe and Tmac should stop. It's laughable. Tmac is a great player, no doubt, but he's not producing, nor dominating anything or anyone. No one is scared of Tmac. Even if he scores 30 points, it's usually on 9-27 shooting. I love Tmac, but I'm not delusional. He doesn't bring "it" every game.

Yao was obviously tired at the end and the Jazz noticed. They attacked the paint like mad. Now, I'm not guaranteeing anything, but I think that if Deke were in, we'd do a little better on that. Even if Deke just gave Yao a bit of a rest...but hindsight is hindsight I guess.

Deke tried to give Yao a bit of rest, but he did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. JVG noticed and thus Deke did not see any court time in the 4th quarter. Deke was as stiff as a statue tonight. He would not have done anything on either end.
