Man......wasn't this one of those accolades of the highest level our Rockets team is getting ??

A post-game commentary from no one but Jim Cleamons, one of the assistant coaches of the LA Lakers, sort of d@$$ing his own team, and heaping praises on us !!!

Does he still want an extention of his coaching contract from the Lakers ??? :D

more like it takes 8, if our starters play well we can probably win, but against the best who are much deeper than us, we'll need our bench to be contributing a crapload more than they did against the lakers(2 points). Jho, Head, Deke are our main bench players, deke gets his boards + blocks, and if Heads hitting his 3s and Jhos hitting them jumpers then there is no reason why we cant get deep into the playoffs, snyder and JL3 can be X-factors but i wouldnt count on them, would be nice if they turn out to be more useful though but i doubt they will get the chance to. Starters + bench onsong, i dont think we've seen that very often for long stretches of periods this season...... especially against the better teams..... but if it happens, it will be extremely for anyone to beat us. Hopefully during these last few games before playoff time we can see this happening more and more often, warming up to playoffs for a stellar performance!

While we all know things are somewhat dysfunctional in Lakerland, I've never heard of an assistant coach publicly knocking his own team like that. He was out of line. I don't care if it's Jim Cleamons and I don't care if what he said was true. He went a little too far IMO.

the cape makes you look like Jordan. . . huh, ahem. . . superhero. ;) Yeah, just a fashion statement.

I think one of the reasons why the role players don't "participate" is that Superman wants to do all the work. If your superstar don't care about you, you have the tendency of not caring. Kobe cares about the team only in so far as the team help HIM win. This kind of mentality is very contagious in team culture. We are extremely lucky to have not one, but two superstars who truly care about the team and not just themselves.

Yao Ming: The referee is d@mn right this time to call a foul.... C'Mon, I can't stand any longer

Kobe Bryant (God): Travelling ?? No Way !! I'm God........

Tracy McGrady: If you're God, then you won't make that mistake. If you don't believe (it was travelling), go back to watch the replay video....

The cartoonist Li Quan published one cartoon a day on all Rockets game (and sometimes on other NBA teams as well) on his blog on sina.com.

You can just click on the above link, then click on each of the blog post entries......

You guys had that and would probably still be winning titles but Phonie ran off the real Superman!

Anyone notice how the fakers didn't even run the triangle in the game vs us. They probably haven't been running it since phonie started this streak. It just looked like bring the ball down, give the ball to him and let him get his.

The following cartoon from Li Quan right after Rockets win over the Detroit Pistons is very humorous......and IMHO, quite appropriate as well.

Yao Ming: Oh My God !! The Rockets back home had blasted off into the outer space.....(I'm afraid) I'm falling far behind.

Tracy McGrady: No worry, buddy. The Lao Da (Champion) of the Eastern Conference had surrendered to us......so we should also be blasting off into the outer space soon.

Caption: The Rockets from both side of the ocean blasted off simultaneously...Yao Ming & TMAC target the Championship

Note: The Rockets back home means Bayi Rockets back in China, which recently dethroned Guangdong Hongyuan Tigers 4 ~ 1 to become the CBA Champion of this year.

nice post man. i think this is proof that people who think this way about kobe aren't kobe hater or los angeles laker.. they are BASKETBALL FANS! fans who understand the game and dont think someone should be considered the best player of all time if they hog the ball and dont make his teammates better. and if the lakers own assistant coach thinks this way, then maybe kobe and many laker fans will get the message.

yes kobe's assists are up, but relative to how many triple teams he gets, that is nothing. tmac for instance is averaging 6.5 and over 8 this month i think, and he doesn't even get half of the double/triple teams kobe does. With tmac, if there is someone wide open, 90% of the time he will pass there. Kobe on the other hand, doesn't matter if there are 3 people wide open (usually there are), if he made up his mind to shoot he will shoot.

Kobes 6 assists per game are from the odd time he decides before the play that he should pass and get some assists. but when he wants to score, he wont give it up, and that is a TRUE BALL HOG. Getting assists when you plan on doing it is one thing, but having the guts to give it up and admit you dont have a good shot is another. go TMAC

I love Kobe. But, oh man, do I hate superman. Among the worse, most two-dimensional superheroes around there. And he's a jerk; I have proof: http://www.superdickery.com

The cartoon was created on 3/27/2007.

The sign held by the panda reads, "Protected National Animal [species]."

The buck screams, "Hey!! I too am a protected animal ..."

The caption says, "Stung by Hornets, Yao exerts revenge on Bucks."
