Saw this amusing post on the Laker's board. "What we can blame the refs for is the (bleep) that gave TMac 3 free-throws. That was an illegal screen ALL THE WAY. But, what am I surprised for? They rarely call fouls on Yao, they give him massive amounts of free-throws whether he's fouled or not, and they ABSOLUTELY NEVER call 3 seconds on him even though he's in the key for 5 seconds or so on almost every possession. He's like a 7 foot 6 Dwyane Wade." Hes so clueless!
well i've never in my life seen yao get as much love as he did last night. couldn't really believe what i was seeing.... definitely saw the b****-n-moan from the lakers fans coming a mile away.

Considering what happen on the last call vs. the clipper & the call that rox got from last night, is hard to blame them. (not saying those a wrong call, but you get the idea)
They used to have a 7'1" 350 lb Dwyane Wade on their team. He got calls all the time, when all he did was elbow/shoulder push/shove people into the first row and dunk on them, while the defender was called for fouls. They might remember him, they won 3 titles with him. In fact they used to complain that he didn't get enough calls. Funny how fans (of any team) have short memories.
The "Lakers fans comment on enthusiastic Rockets bench" thread is about how enthusiastic the Rockets bench are. It has nothing to do with refs.
Same here. I was shocked that the refs were actually fair! Well, some of the calls they made were very ticky-tacky, but at least they were consistent. That's all you can hope for.
That's true we do it here all the time so I don't think why should expect Laker fans to be any different.
I don't see how you can say the refs screwed the Lakers over when A) The Lakers got just as many FTs B)Kobe was getting phantom jumpshot fouls while we were taking it to the basket and getting calls.
40% of kobe's points come off of free-throws. he gets calls almost as easily as d-wade. that poster obviously doesn't watch yao play very often. when kobe gets hacked hard, the refs may miss 5% of the time. with yao, it's more like 50% of the time.
Yao got lots of love...last night.... il agree maybe too much... but the last few games before... he got no love... so I guess the ref's were trying to even it out... I think all of us can agree... we dont want to see games where Yao get all the calls then games where he gets no calls... id rather it be inbetween both those extremes every game...
Yao should show his power and dominance, to get the respect from refs. Hw did it last night, so the refs did what they were supposed to do.
I agree he might've gotten too much love... cause some of those calls were just Yao jumping into a guy and the guy holding his ground. But at the same time they called touch fouls when Kobe was shooting... so its even as far as I'm concerned. And this game Yao took it inside... so what do you expect?

Wtf is wrong with this board? We don't have to go to other boards and post some comment other fans make about us every time we win??? I bet they would laugh their asses off when they see our reactions on this board after losses.
