    As far as I know. That was what the lady said must've happened. I haven't checked yet. It doesn't matter though. If I notice they didn't, I'll call back and raise hell. Had I not called and not received the letter, I would've been arrested again. No question about it.

    Yeah, I called about a week ago about doing that - they said it wasn't possible. I asked when I could expect to receive the next surcharge notice, and guess what? THEY DON'T KNOW. It's just going to be sometime next year.

    What Fatty says. This is totally immoral. 3 years ago I got a ticket, paid a big fine and A YEAR later received a letter stating that, because of a new law that was passed AFTER I got the ticket, I owed $1000 MORE to the state of Texas. There is NOTHING right about that.

    I got a speeding ticket two weeks ago. I'm gonna try to take defensive driving for it. I'll let you know how it goes.

    They were running a speed trap - in downtown Houston (on Rusk!) and I was pulled over for doing 45 in a 30.

    I hate speed traps.
