I'm moving into a new house soon and would like some advice or some creativity tips with organizing household stuff in rooms. I know there is a word for it but I just can't think of it right now... Well, for example, where would it be creative to put the bed... what's a good color theme for my room... where to put the lamp... the tv... etc. etc. Just pretend you're playing the Sims and organizing their stuff. Unique ideas are needed! Thanks.
only suggestion you need underbed storage bins. Lets you throw crap under the bed in an organized manner.
You need to put your touch on the house. That's part of what makes it special. For ideas, look at furniture websites. Take floor plan measurements and get lost in it. I wish I could afford to. Apparently, my motorcycle has precedence over any additional furniture.
Go to pottery barn and see what kind of stuff you like. Then go to Pier one, Kirklands and World Market and but it all much cheaper.
You're asking a bunch of dweebs on a basketball forum who drool at pictures and throw Beavis and Butthead jokes at each other for decorating ideas. Snap out of it! Get a decorator or go to a decorating forum before your entire house is painted red and white with posters of tramp d'jour on the walls. lol.
Next to the bed? That's what I was doing wrong! I put my lamp under my bed I could never see anything.
I could help you if you have an idea of what you like. My biggest advice though is to go to the container store and have them organize your closets. That really helps.
