He and a couple of others in this thread. Some of the replies are predictable. According to one guy, I'm not worthy to be a Rockets fans. Oh well. It's all in fun. Let's hope the 2007 playoffs create some unforgettable memories. It's been too long.
FACT: The 90s wasn't only 1992, 1993, and 1997, at least not according to everyone else not named Tinman. Tard.
Ok a couple of points. first: people talk about how good Jordan was in finals, Hakeem has also been great in the play offs/finals . So when you say Jordan wouldn't lose in finals. Hakeem wouldn't either(after 1986, but that team of the celtics was amazing). secondly: The bulls WITH jordan were not good enough in 1995 to beat the orlando Magic, you remember them we Sweeped them. So saying we cannot beat them in 1995 is just wrong.
It's funny how you pointed out the 90s:Jordan Bulls vs Rockets stats because oddly enough it reminds me of the no/ok hornets vs the rockets of the past 3 yrs series. So if the rockets somehow play the hornets in any playoff series, would the rockets come out as victorious or become hammered and dominated by the confident hornets??
fact:In 1993-94 playoffs, the 8th seeded Denver Nuggets defeated the #1 seed Seattle SuperSonics. proving...anything can happen fact:id Software releases Doom II.(1994)
As much as I would have given up any of my body organs that I have two of to see a Rockets/Bulls Finals, I think the Rockets would be no match for the 72 win Bulls. Sure we had our three-headed monster but not only did the Bulls have theirs but they also had pretty good role players (Kukoc/Longley/etc) as well. It probably would have been Bulls in 6. But this is all my opinion.
fact: 1996-97 $247,500 1997-98 $326,700 1998-99 * $425,000 1999-00 $2,681,250 2000-01 $2,401,000 2001-02 $2,543,750 2002-03 * $699,935 2004-05 $3,237,500
I actually agree with your second point. The Bulls were running out of steam in 93 before his "retirement." The Bulls had to remake their roster after 95, and boy did they ever. 72-10! That's ridiculous! Although the Mavs are going to get close this year.
I liked Matt Maloney, but I'm not sure he ever played defense, but then again neither did Smith. I'll make a controversial statement here for all of you Rafer haters. If Rafer would've been the starting point guard on the 97 team, the Rockets would've have beaten the Jazz. Then we would have had your coveted Bulls-Rockets finals.
fact: BJ Armstrong Career 3.3 AST 9.8 PPG Playoff 2.4 AST 7.9 PPG fact: Sam Cassell Career 6.1 AST 16.1 PPG Playoff 4.9 AST 13.6 PPG
What fact do you want? There was NO meeting between Rockets and Bulls in Finals. There were ONLY regular season meetings. People don't care much about facts are throwing out suggestions that "what ifs" during those Rockets' championship years. Most of them don't even know that Rockets beat the Shaq led Orlando Magic clearly, while Bulls couldn't pass Magic. What exactly did you mean by fact without title means nothing? Rockets did win 2 titles. Or you are claiming only the wins over Bulls counts? maybe you should tell that to the Showtime Lakers and Russel's Celtics, that their facts mean nothing.
