Testy. Very testy. I like a woman like that. She was too good for basketball, huh?

I don't think she was too good for basketball. She actually knew the game fairly well from what I read of her posts. She probably knew more about the history of the NBA/ABA than 95-99% of the guys on this board. She just came off the wrong way in several of her posts especially the ones in which she constantly referenced how she and Karl Malone were good friends.

Oh yes, and we're off-topic. Stop that.

Didn't she say that she never played organized women's basketball because the "adaptations" that were made for women's basketball were insulting to the game (or some drivel to that effect).

    Diagnosis: MEGALOMANIA.

Your diagnosis seems to be pretty accurate. I thought it was funny when fromobile was giving her a hard time. What's that old saying? Those who can...play - those who can't...teach(coach).

"She" was a Rocket fan and a Jazz fan. Those are very rare creatures.

She knew her basketball. She didn't like the WNBA. She got flamed a lot for her association with Karl Malone and the Jazz.

What's funny is some people still wanting to talk about something that happened, like what, over a year ago? I bet a large percentage of posters don't even know who she was (posted or visited when she was around).

So, she is a megalomaniac because she doesn't like the WNBA? I guess there's a lot more megalomaniacs than you think then.

Also, what does her not playing "organized women's basketball" have to do with anything. What percentage of the male posters on this BBS have never played "organized ball"? And, does that make them or their opinions any less valid?

I argued with her over the merits of the WNBA, but just because she didn't agree with me doesn't make her opinions (on that subject and others) worth any less than mine.

    DREAMer, have another Cognac!

I called her a megalomaniac because her tone and attitude set herself above and apart from "organized basketball."

    Yeah, sure.

She was good enough to play but wouldn't lower herself to play.

    Yeah sure.

It had nothing to do with the fact that she didn't play and EVERYTHING to do with her pretense that she CHOSE not to play. Do you get the difference? It's there.

I didn't think you were a prick in that situation. ;)

Jenna was the prick or whatever you would call it for a woman in that instance.
