Computer help

    I just bought a laptop with Windows Vista a couple of months back. Well, the Norton Protection Center is messing up and they recommend that I re-install it. Problem is, it came pre-installed. Does anybody have any alternative suggestions to Norton for computer security? Preferably something free. Thanx.

    Who is "they", and did you do what they asked you to do? Maybe that will solve it, and hopefully it doesn't give you anymore problems. The laptop should have had the CDs to reinstall anything that came pre-installed. Give it a try before we take a different approach or before we try a different problem. :eek:

    Define "messing up" for me, please. I'd like to know what symptoms it's showing. Perhaps Norton's knowledge Base can help you out.
