I heard he did not speak to reporters after the Pistons game either. I cannot wait for Friday night, I wish JVG would let T-Mac guard Phonie24, I wish even more that T-Mac would ask for that and rise to the challenge!

I also noticed this and worry about tmac, not knowing why he's unhappy recently. The playoff is upcoming and wish he and Yao can regain their best state. What makes me happy is that mac's shooting percentage was much better in the last 2 games and he's a very active defender now, 4 steals in today's game.

His defense has picked up. That was a nasty little block in the 4Q. I hope there is not a problem, just Tracy picking up the intesity.

Tracy McGrady has been superb the last two games.

    Yesterday's game he had 22 points (9-18 FG - 50%), 4 rebounds, 10 assists, 4 steal, 1 block shot and only 1 turnover!!

Hornet's game he had 31 points (12-20 FG - over 50%), 5 rebounds, 6 assists and only 2 turnovers. (I felt he should have taken more shots - instead of Yao - since he had an off game.)

Can't wait for the game on ESPN!

He was also pissed that the Bucks body checked him every time he came off a pick and the officials decided to take the night off.

Good. The more pissed he is the better. Playoff time is near, get ready for the most important games of the season. T-Mac needs to be pissed, take the lead and set an example. Otherwise the Rockets got a problem!

T-Mac is rounding his game to playoff mode and wants the rest of his team to followed suit by being ticked off even with the win last night he was not happy with team's performance. I can't wait for the lights of Hollyweird to shine on the Rockets and lets see where they end up hopefully with 2 more wins.

I think it's because he wants Sura and Mike James back. Everytime he looks over at the PG position all he sees is Rafer.

man when tmac plays defense like this, u really think what kind of player he could really be if he wasn't limited by his back? he could be jumping all over the place w/o no fear like when he was young in toronto?

man dude has so much talent. he's so good that he's still a top 5 player w/ a bad back.

Ya'll are nuts. Shane has made his career defending. Nobody closes out as hard, takes more charges, or understands the effort it takes to defend like Shane does.

Do yyou two think he made Team USA just because he could stroke the corner 3? If that was the case, Kyle Korver and Steve Novak would have made the team too.

No, he really isn't. Battier is our best defender. TMac is our player who can guard the most positions (he could guard a pg while Battier happens to be too slow). However, Battier is a better help defender, team defender and on the ball defender for 2 positions.

If you have followed Tmac throughout his career, you would know that he is capable of being a great defender. In his earlier years in the NBA, his defense was often compared to Pippen. There was an article written by ESPN or SI that compared TMAC and Kobe, and it stated that what separated the two was defense. The better defender in the article was TMAC.

i'm talking about straight up individual defense w/ little help. tmac shut down mason last night man up. he shut down redd the few times he was on him. it's very easy to see that and i believe JVG still believes so. he puts tmac on dirk to close the game and that was a recent superstar offensive player. you'll see tmac to close the game on kobe too probably if kobe is hot again.

but overall defense, of course shane's better, primarily b/c he takes charges and does the "small" things. tmac CAN do that, and if he does, he'll break his back again. that's why i say his back limits a lot of what he can do on both ends and actually trying some things like taking charges or dunking over people.
