IF (and a BIG IF) there is any racial involved, I honestly (and really really hope) it is no the "let's get the Asian guy because we don't like Asian guys" mentality, but really more of an indirect "I'll hesitate to blow my whistle for him because I don't see too many nor know too many Asians and thus i won't give him the benefit of the doubt"

I remember when Seattle was running their Then Illegal zone
Rudy would be on the court near the free throw line point at the zone Lines
    It was so Funny
    but
Rudy would b*tch big time . . . .and he got some calls

Maybe JVG needs to do something similar

You know... you guys might be on to this racial hate thing. Look at the finals last year. Dallas got robbed. Dirk got no calls, while Wade got everything. And Dirk is German. Stern probably subconsciously hates Dirk because he hates German people for WWII. And then there is Yao. Stern probably hates Yao for Pearl Harbor. I know that was the Japanese, but Stern is too stupid to tell the difference. If its not Pearl Harbor... then I dunno. The Cold War or something... weren't the Chinese involved in that?

Yao would be a 30pt 10reb guy if the refs gave him 10% of the calls. Like Shaq, he's fouled almost everytime he touches the ball. Most of the time, a blatantly hard foul that isn't called. Shaq gets more calls than Yao, but it doesn't show due to his poor FT%.

It's disgusting to see Yao hacked so many times and the refs don't even put a hand on the whistle. Yet anybody can jump into his body even though he standing still with his hands up outside the circle and he'll be whistled faster than the closest guy to Dwyane Wade.

One of these days Yao just needs to raise his elbows up for a quick post move and nail somebody. Get an offensive flagrant foul(version 2). Send a message to those who hack. "Keep hacking at me and your teeth are gonna look like the keys of a piano after hurricane Katrina."

They say that Math is the universal language,I say to them, all of you are wrong!!
"Basquetbol" translates to any language! With that said, the NBA should fire all the bad referees in the association and hire some from other countries,an agreement with FIBA is not far fetched.Stern get to work and make my manifesto a reality!!! :)

There is no doubt. Tony Brothers seems to have something on Yao. Forget Yao getting any calls of Brothers is officiating the game.

not that Jeff needs anyone to defend him when they see the "quality" of your posts in the past.

Well I hope that you feel better about yourself having gotten that off your chest.

Totally agree! The unfair treatment from refs has been with Yao forever. He can not just swallow the anger and frustration all the time. He should do something BIG on the court to raise the attention from the media and NBA management. The Rockets management should help Yao to fire up the media.

My thoughts exactly. From the limited number of games I've seen broadcast in the Austin area, I can honestly say I can't remember the last time Yao got the call when he's "stripped of the ball" as he starts his shot at the waste. He's getting hammered on the hands and forearm and nothing get's called.

To me, it is as much yao not getting calls as it is Yao not working his shot to get his man into foul trouble. Last night in particular he hardly worked his way in closer to the basket an dsettling on 15' jumpers. Let's see him work the ball up and down like Tracy to get his man jumping up so he can manuever a foul and shot out of the guy.

That is the next level that I see Yao needs to achieve to go far into the playoffs. Make shots and get your man in foul trouble. You can't score sitting on the bench.

His moniker is "Rudyball". Is it so strange that he'd talk about it?

I think what the main thing is is that Yao doesn't embellish his fouls more. He shouldn't have to do it, but its gotten to the point where thats what you have to do to get calls these days.
