There are two leaders on this team and share equal responsibility. Much of that 1-20 is without both of them being there. As usual, after a loss, I think ur talking w/ emotions, because t-mac has come through in the clutch before (this season) and he will do it again. Yao will too.

I dont like our 4th quarter tendencies. Even though we have been blowing people out, we're still being outscored in the 4th. Some teams (Clippers, Pistons) made a game out of it within the final 3 minutes. It's a very bad habit, and is something that must be thrown away before the playoffs.

I don't know if calling Bonzi "mentally strong" is exactly the right term. Hardheaded and overly cocky maybe. Disruptive and selfish, definitely. If Bonzi was truly "mentally strong" you would think he would get in shape and play his butt off this year.

I don't see how scoring 27 points one night and then going 1-12 with 5 turnovers the next game shows a player to be "mentally strong."

No matter what people may say, I think Yao is one of the more mentally strong players on the team. He has worked his butt off this year and for his entire career, against many doubters. He very seldom plays two bad games in a row.

Honestly though, this year's team is a great front runner, but does not have the grit to get it done late.

I wonder what the 2004 team's record when trailing after 3 quarters was?

Because it seemed that team had it together, had players that knew their roles and were confident in doing them.

This team is more talented, but they still don't BELIEVE in themselves.

No, I completely concur, Yao should and could have done more tonight too.....

And actually, I think it is more on the role players tonight, Yao and TMac were getting them WIDE open looks, and the team was simply clanking them.

I am dissappointed in Yao's lack of rebounding...but I think that is because of his knee....

Forget all the timely assists and the timely jumpshots. Did Tmac carry the Rockets to victory. No!! Kobe did it for the lakers. There's no excuse for the Rockets losing and messing up the winning streak again. All that shows is our 2 superstars are weakminded.

Thanks for the new insight. I think I have seen this exact same post after every single loss (and a few wins) this year.

The players have a lot to do with the outcome as well. In the 4th, the Rockets couldn't hit a shot, and the Hornets couldn't miss. Ballgame.

I don't blame this one on JVG at all.

This is all on the players.....JVG set the system up tonight to get shooters WIDE open shots....

    And the Shooters missed.

I agree 110%!! and about "lack of aggressive shots"... to be honest the only player that comes to my mind first is Tmac!! yes Tmac!! he needs to drive his butt to the basket more than taking jumpshots!!!! He needs to attack the basket on every chance he gets that will help this team so f***ing much!!
Im so tired of him taking careless tough jumpshots!

I think we will get past the Jazz this year, and exit 2nd round. Anything more would be awesome. Once Yao and T-mac get a taste of playoff victory, and they desperately need it, we will be better equipped to make the championship run..

We need one more killer on this team and it would be GREAT if he were a PG.

I can't help but think how much better this team would be with Sura at the point.

There is blame on TMac. He needs to make his free throws, period. I don't care how great a game he played, one of his main tools is his pump fake to get to the line. It's sad that our 7 ft center shoots or technicals.

rox have issues with teams with good penetrating guards.

paul goes to th rack, in most cases yao has to come and help, and he dumps it down low for a high percentage shot.

how do the rox stop good penetrating guards?

rox will see hornets and suns in two straight games.

lucas is quick enough to get in front of nash, dunno about paul, and that did some good last game against suns. he['s not in the rotation, but it might warrant another look

definitely. tmac needs to start making his fts. a few yrs back, he would miss early in the game but make the clutch ones. this yr, he is just all over the place. some games he's really good, some games he's under 70%. tmac needs to start FOCUSING.

Suns are much more atheletic team.

Simple. Something works for others doesn't mean it's good for you.

You're missing the point. I know Yao shoots fts really well but the point is that a guy who's supposed to be a top 5 to 10 player in the league as a guard shooting be shooting fts under 70%. Plus, we may need to give those to TMac sometimes to get him in rythem when he's off (it happens with a lot of other players) but we can't b/c he shoots so poorly
