I was surprised to find that couple Lakers fans was fighting with Blazers fans in Blazers forum. And here is some funny comments between the two groups:

Ehh, So you think saying: I do not want to play with shaq anymore., and thereby making the lakers choose between Shaq and Him. does not mean he got rid of him? ok if you believe that then he didn't get rid of shaq. For the rest of the world Kobe made the lakers choose between him and shaq, because he wanted to be the main man on a team. To me that is selfish and stupid.

If you only care about Kobe's performance on court, sure you like him;

If you care about his performance and him as a person, no, you don't like him.

 

don't like him:

1. plays for the lakers;

2. carries himself like an arrogant ass;

3. looks like he studied how MJ walks and chews gum over and over and over again to get it "just right."

 

Interesting statistic, during kobe's streak the lakers are averaging 26.75 assists per game, that is 7th in the nba. Rockets are currently placed at 16th.

 

I go between ardent dislike of Kobe, and feeling sorry for him, because he's so messed up.

Geez the rape jokes are getting old. I don't get it, he was innocent. No proof whatsoever that she was raped and we all know what she was trying to do($$$). But people continue to call him "rapist" and seem positive that he actually did do it. What makes you guys so positive?

Seriously, just like Kobe, Calvin Murphy is innocent. I'm sure none of you Rockets fans would like other people calling Murph a guilty rapist or whatever. I know people dislike Kobe but rape is nothing to joke about. Especially if you were innocent.

Kobe is the best player in the NBA...others are a distant second

Better J than MJ with just as good moves to free his J. but he is not as quick as MJ was and (while Kobe has the best stamina of any of the top tier players) he doesn't have the infinite stamina that MJ had enough to play his top defense all game

so,

better J than MJ
equal moves
less speed
less stamina to play 1st Team all-defense
= he still is not as good as MJ

Out of the current players, only Yao Ming has the potential to surpass Kobe as the best player in the NBA.

It is MV(aluable)P, not best player award. His team is still fighting for a playoff spot.
