Watching the jazz game (the last quarter and a half) and they are just dribbling then shooting a jump shot. Very un-Jazz like
3 game home stretch: Memphis, Washington, and Minnesota. Memphis gets torched, but I see them losing one game to either Washington or Minnesota. If they let the slump get in their head, maybe they lose to both Washington and Minnesota.
Just found a Jazz fan said: 'Utah probably would get their asses handed to them by the Rockets if Houston could stay healthy. Good thing for us, Yao will probably blow out a knee or foot, and T-mac will have back spasms.'
They tried post up eariler on, wasnt working. Okur was off. Fisher cant hit. Deron Williams just disappeared. Only boozer played well. The utah team came down to earth. If we can contain D.Will, which we probably can because he is inexperience and let Boozer get his, we will be fine against them. They proably will try flop their way to take Yao out. If I were JVG, I would be starting planting the seeds to league office about right now.
Utah was hot at the beginning of the season. Today they are an average team, with not too much idea in their game. Also i see them as very confused team, they tried to run-gun type of the game. When they figured they couldn't, they switched back. Which obveisly is not working. I cant imagine us not getting home court advantage, because Utah has tough schedule, and if Clippers can beat them by 30, Dallas can beat them too, as well as any other team.
As other teams get familiar with their play, Uta lost their momentum. They will look more like last season's Jazz team. I am sure Rockets will pass them, get the home court advantage and beat them in 4 games in the first round.
that's the "cockiness" this team can't afford to have. even if the jazz struggles, the rockets have to play w/ a chip on their shoulder and that they're THE underdog. i don't like when we play like we think we're actually great already. and that's like the mindset you're having. we lost to teams like atlanta and boston didn't we? anything is possible. the team has to be locked in mentally when the playoffs rolls around. don't even care about what the jazz have done going into the playoffs.
Utah fans still deny to believe a Chinese guy is a threat, although they know it in their deep heart.
All I am saying is the truth. However, I agree with you that nothing is for granted. As a fan, we can only predict based on the fact. As a player who plays on the court, they have to have a different mentality.
fine. but as you have seen, when things go well for us, we don't play that well. we had that skid b4 yao returned after we won 4-5 in a row. we have blown leads repeatedly despite being up double digits. u may think players have a different mentality but they may not. they're humans too. they underestimate teams too. just hope they disregard who the opponent is and focus on THEIR play. if rockets play their style of ball, they will win. don't even think about utah.
