I've been a sports fan for a long time, and that combination has never happened. Sometimes, a team will lower prices of the cheapest tickets, but never when they are winning.

they got pills for making it bigger. Iono if they work or not...

I agree with the clap clap clap your hands thing being stupid, but other arenas do it too. That doesn't make it any less stupid though. I haven't seen them do the wave in ever in the TC. Maybe they should try that to get ppl off their seats.

I think the reason why attendence is low is because the tix are just too expensive now a days. On top of that, you have to pay parking with is about $20 bucks. That is not going to work.

first off, there MORE tickets that are less than 20 bucks than what we had at Lakewood (Summit), as far as parking, I've paid 20 total the past 4 seasons they have been in downtown, they are PLENTY of spots of free parking as long as you get there before game time, hell I've been late to a game and STILL got a spot.

10 Ideas for improving attendance -
    10. Don't start games at 8:50 PM on a weeknight.
    9. Get some outside food vendors in to create variety and offer more reasonable and comfortable pre-game dining options. Standing at a chrome rail to eat a $7 hot dog doesn't thrill me enough to get me to the arena early. On the other hand, $40/head plus drinks for the Red and White Bistro ain't happenin' most nights either. Find something in the 20 person range.
    8. The only arena sound enhancement when rockets are on defense should encourage and leave space for people to shout "DEFENSE!!!"
    7. Get Ezra Charles and the Works to play before games.
    6. Half-price beer 'til 10 min before tipoff.
    5. Go back to signature audio for scoring -
Play the chorus of the Prince tune "Head" everytime Luther scores. Morning noon and night I want it - Head!
    4. Replace roving beer vendors with roving Rockets Power Dancers.
    3. Dunking Power dancers land in portable swimming pool full of pudding.
    2. Have a rollout shower similar to the old money booth machine to locate at center court so that Pudding Dunking Power Dancers can get cleaned up.
    1. Replace the lifting off rocket thing with a silver pole for the RPD to work with.

The 500 of us that went to Miami made more noise that the entire freakin' Toyota Center does some nights. It was like having the Mav's or the Spurs in town, except it was us, bringing it hard. To this day I can't believe they didn't video tape the lot of us walking into AA Arena and *owning* it.

just thinking off the top of my head:

well you know how a neighborhood committee can do an intervention with someone about their whack decision on painting their house fluorescent green or failing to mow their lawn for months...............

i think the buck stops at rockets organization.

they need to start taking account of who are the repeat offenders. which corporations by a 10, 20, 50 seats and then continually fail to fill those seats.

they need to create some incentive or punishment system that gets the message across: buying a ticket doesn’t stop at the ticket sale. we sell those tickets to have a home court advantage, a fan presence.

it can be done through ticket scans right?
if you're season tickets seats were being sat in 90% of the time? then you get first pick at play off tickets, you get rockets swag, you get $100 back off of next year's season tickets.

or, if we have people lining up for season tickets, then hey you bought season tickets and no one sat in those seats the entire season, we as a fan-conscious organization are within our right to say "nah, no thanks we'll sell our season tickets to the few people in line behind you. you can buy individual tickets from here on out whenever you feel like you might actually go to the game instead of perpetually stink-bombing our home"

Just play better - and with consistent passion.

The fans will come, people are happy the team is winning but I doubt many think the team has a real chance to go far.

This can all change if they start performing in the playoffs....people don't believe anymore......

Got to get em believing and hungry for a championship.

I believe in the first championship year, some of the early round playoff games were either not sold out completely or just barely sold out.

Just win and the fans will come.
